Guilty - Gabriel

Gabriel is human, Y/N is an Archangel. Roles reversed kinda thing.

It wasn't long after meeting the archangel that Gabriel started to fall in love. How could he not? Y/N's wings were the most amazing shade of green he had ever seen. He always found himself sneaking glances at the wings when he was sure Y/N wasn't looking.

Not long after Gabriel fell in love, Sam and Dean started to notice his weird actions when the archangel was around. When they were researching for a case, anytime they would look to Gabriel, he had his eyes on Y/N. But it was never inappropriate staring, he was just so caught up with Y/N's wings. He often fell into thought while staring at the wings and would begin to zone out. Why couldn't he see Castiel's wings, or any of the other angel's for that matter. He found it to be an important question, but he never found himself asking it.

When the time came for the apocalypse to begin, Y/N was on Team Free Will. He was going to protect the people he felt was family. They were more family to him than his real brothers and sisters. He was especially going to protect Gabriel. He didn't know what it was about him, but there had always been something in his body, or his vessel's body, that told him the man was important.

So now, there he was, standing up to his brother in the middle of the bloodstained hotel. All of his god friends had been murdered by his brother. He had handed Gabriel a DVD earlier and given him the mission to protect it. When Lucifer tried to kill his family, Y/N stepped in and blocked him, getting them out of the building safely.

When Y/N didn't come with them, Gabriel felt his heart stop. He didn't want him to be killed. Gabriel tried to go back, but Sam and Dean grabbed his arms and pulled him out. They pulled him to the Impala and drove away before Gabriel could escape.

Y/N stood in front of his brother with his angel blade in hand, trying to talk him down. He had little hope his brother would stop, but many things had been done with little hope.

"I saw the way that human looked at you. Walk away now, and you might be able to enjoy a few more days with him. Until I win, of course." Lucifer pointed out the hallway his friends had left through. Y/N raised his eyebrows and tilted his head.

"What are you talking about, Lucifer? They are my family, none of them have romantic feelings for me." He hung his head. Lucifer flicked his eyebrows and scoffed. He raised his head again to look at his brother.

"Well, obviously you haven't seen it. The short one was definitely watching you. Can he see your wings?" Lucifer asked with a bit of enthusiasm. Y/N looked down and thought. Lucifer's mouth dropped open. "You have asked him, haven't you?" Y/N shook his head.

"It never occurred to me to ask. I've never seen him doing anything out of the ordinary." Y/N shrugged. Lucifer groaned and ran a hand down his face.

"Well, this makes it worse that I have to kill you now." Y/N tilted his head and gave Lucifer a bitchface. Lucifer's eyes lit up as he smiled.

"You would really kill your little brother." Y/N stated with a bit of disappointment in his voice. Lucifer shrugged.

"If I have to." Y/N nodded and looked over Lucifer's shoulder, causing him to spin around and grab Y/N's hand, forcing the blade into his stomach. Y/N looked up at his brother as he looked back, seeing the other form of Y/N disappear with a frown. When he turned back, the look on Y/N's face was betrayal and hurt. Lucifer shoved the angel blade farther, killing Y/N as he let go.

Gabriel watched the archangel on the computer, but he couldn't hear what was being said. The rest of the audio was just a dull buzzing to him. When the video ended and cut back to the actual movie, Sam looked at his brother and noticed Gabriel.
