jaemin nodded, taking another sip of his six shots of espresso.
jamie was alarmed, jaemin had seen jeno alone, a few blocks from her house where there was a starbucks with a big duffle bag and a mask over his mouth, his hair a newly brown. he said jeno hadn't been in school the past couple of days and wasn't answering any text messages.
after the new years party, life had gone fast. "funky town" met up often, they even went ice skating like mark and jamie wanted to. suddenly, jeno stopped answering around the first weekend after school started. it had been a week since then.
"jeno... has been to a lot of foster homes," jaemin said slowly, trying to find the right words, "i heard rumors that he ran away a lot... did he run away from his adoptive family then?"
jamie shrugged, holding her hands on the hot chocolate jaemin had gotten her, "i don't know... maybe."
"i should've approached him," jaemin cursed, leaning back in his chair, "we met eyes and he immediately ran that bastard."
