I couldn't sleep that night, tossing and turning. When I rolled over to my comfortable side, I was met with the sight of Harin. She was asleep, but it still haunted me. And I couldn't get the sounds from earlier out of my head.

At about four am, I gave up on sleeping. I sat up, walking out of the hotel room and onto the balcony. The fresh air hit my nose immediately, and I already felt relaxed. The peaceful early morning was cathartic. I wondered about the lives of the people who lived around here.

Were they as magical as they seemed? Or were they as boring as mine?

I sat down at the chair out on the balcony, the metal cold against my clothed skin

I sat down at the chair out on the balcony, the metal cold against my clothed skin. The sound of the waves graced my ears, I closed my eyes for a moment to listen closely.

'Does the ocean sound the same in Korea?' I wondered.

Or do the waves crash differently there?

Somehow the waves seem more melodic here.

I closed my eyes again, just for a moment...

"Hey, wake up..."

Someone was shaking my shoulder. I stiffened, my eyes flying open.

It was morning now, the sun rising in the sky. Harin stood over me, a confused look on her face.

"Why did you sleep out here?" She asked, "I imagine a bed is more comfortable."

I sniffled, feeling a cold coming on.

'Fuck,' I thought, 'Why did I let myself fall asleep out here?!'

"I just... wanted to see the view," I shrugged, sitting up.

There was a crick in my neck, making me frown.

"Anyway, you might want to shower now," Harin explained. She had a towel wrapped around her head, and a robe on, "We're leaving in an hour."

"Thanks," I muttered, hurrying into the shower.

I showered quickly, but made sure to do all of my self-care properly. Travel and cold air really dries out your skin, so I set aside time to do another face mask.

I stepped out of the bathroom, going through the clothes I packed. I felt like wearing Fendi, and I had the perfect sweater in mind. It was a turtleneck to keep me warm. And I finished off the look with a skirt, to keep things cute.

We were supposed to visit the city today, so I wanted to be more fashionable than usual.
