We looked everywhere for Colby and he was nowhere in sight. It was hard finding Colby with the heavy rain hitting against my window. Not even my windshield wipers or the Rain-Ex that I applied on the window could keep the rain off while I proceeded to drive.
"Any luck finding Colby?" Jon asked.
"I haven't found him yet. This rain is too heavy and I cannot see a damn thing!" I shouted.
"Maybe we should head back to your house. I'm sure Colby will return soon." Jon replied.
"I don't think he will." I sighed. "Let's continue to look for him and wait for this rain to die down."
Jon, Brianna, and I sat in my car for a half hour until the rain started to stop. I turned my car back on and drove around in hopes of finding Colby.
Within an hour of no success, we noticed a figure with an umbrella over his head and he had the two-toned hair that we all three noticed at the same time as it was poking out of his black beanie while wearing a black leather jacket.
"Colby, brother!" Jon shouted out of the window.
"Leave me alone." He said sternly.
"Why?"
"Look. I don't know if you've told Jon and Brianna about what happened between us, but I just don't know to handle this situation, alright?" Colby said, looking at me.
"Just get in the car and suck it up, buttercup." Jon said.
"Whatever." Colby replied, rolling his eyes.
Colby gave in and sat in the back of my car along with Jon and Brianna.
After arriving home, we all went inside and took a seat in the living room. Colby looked aggravated and highly annoyed that we brought him back after the fallout that the both of us had awhile ago.
"Katherine. Can I talk to you?"
Colby looked at Jon and Brianna with a glare.
"Alone."
"Alright, sure."
I walked up to my bedroom with Colby. He sounded like he was upset and annoyed at the same time. Making our way to my bedroom, he started looking at me with his nose wrinkled and glaring into my eyes.
"What the hell is your deal?"
"My deal? Colby, you were out in the pouring rain and we were just worried sick about you! Stop being so stubborn!"
"Well maybe I wanted to be alone to collect my thoughts and feelings. Why didn't you think about that, huh?" He shouted.
"Let me take a wild guess, collecting your thoughts and feelings about me?" I questioned him.
"Who else would I have feelings for?"
"What about all of those women in the WWE?"
"I'm not attracted to any of them. I'm only attracted to you, so I thought walking out on you for awhile would help me overcome my feelings for you, Katherine!"
"Why can't you just find someone in the WWE?" I asked.
"Like I said, I only have my feelings sat on you."
"But I'm just a fan, Colby."
The room was as silent as a mouse until he finally spoke, sitting down at my bedside and pulling me into his embrace.
"You're not just a fan to me, Katherine."
"What am I to you, then?"
"You're a beautiful and strong woman with a pure of heart."
"You must be playing mind games with me, Colby."
His smile faded. "Why would I be playing mind games on a woman I have feelings for?"
"Maybe because I've had it happen to me way too much." I dropped my head.
"Katherine." He paused, followed-up with a sigh, "Look. I understand that your abusive relationships in the past have haunted you, made you feel scared and nervous to love another man; but please let me reassure you, Katherine. I'm nothing like Tony, alright?"
I continued to listen to his words while my head was looking down at the rug.
"I'm not pleading for you to love me back. I see something in you that I haven't seen from any other woman in this world. You barely knew me and yet, you still told me about your past. I understand that I work for the WWE and I'm a very famous celebrity in the business, but I would never decline your calls or ignore your text messages unless I was working or asleep. Katherine." He paused while his hand intertwined with mine. "I understand you're not looking for love but if you ever want to start a relationship, I'll be right here waiting for you."
In a weird way, I felt so safe around him. I've never truly felt this way towards another man in my life and just having Colby's presence around me felt truly breathtaking. I really loved this man, but I struggled whether or not I should give relationships another try.
"Thank you, Colby." I said.
We walked back into the living room where Jon and Brianna were sitting and they were having a conversation with one another. When we made our way back into the room, we noticed that they were awkwardly staring at us.
"What?" Colby asked.
"Nothing." Jon replied, "Just hoping that you two patched things up, is all."
I thought long and hard about what Colby had said earlier. The other men that I've had previously never said how they would be right here waiting for me.
"Colby, I need to talk to you again."
Colby sat up from his chair and stretched. "Give me a second, Jon."
"Alright buddy."
We walked back upstairs and went back into my bedroom. Should I tell him how I feel or should I just keep it to myself? So many thoughts were running through my mind.
"Colby, I-"
He looked at me, flashing a smile and then all of a sudden, it happened.
