Shorter never meant to get caught up the way he did. He just wanted a different life away from all the gang activities and that so happened to be with Y/N. What happens when Y/N finally finds out? How was such a man suited for the things he did?

"Y/N!" She entered her living room with a robe on. You knew what that meant.
"Aubrey who's that?" A very unfamiliar ripped guy stepped behind her.
"This is my friend..."
"Bad timing?" You shyly questioned.
"It's fine, my friend Zack here was just leaving." Aubrey ushered him back into the room.
"I have breakfast." You dangled the sack before setting it down.
"So who's Kane? Got any pics?" Aubrey began asking a million questions.
"I think I have a picture somewhere." You pulled up a photo from when you went to Five Guys.
"He looks like a fuckin model. If you don't get with him you should def slide my number."
"I'm not gonna let you corrupt him." You rolled your eyes.
"C'mon Y/N there's no way I could corrupt him. It's always the quiet and cute ones."
"I have a date with him later on today."
"Do you know where you're going?"
"No idea, but also his dad had a boat and he wanted to know if we'd like to hang out with him and some friends."
"Uh hell yeah!" You continued to chat with Aubrey and even got some lunch with her. When you finally reached your home you got a text from Kane.

You closed the message and continued to your place. You noticed some flowers sat in front of your door a note sticking from the top of them.
I'm sorry I can't stay away.
"Aubrey I really don't know what I should wear. Like I wanna look cute, but be comfortable since we'll be walking around a bit." After some time and having Aubrey come over you figured out what you were going to wear.
"You're a fuckin baddiiee!" Aubrey squeaked.

"You can keep the dress I never really wore it and it looks great on you." She added.
"You sure?"
"Yeah of course. Let me take a pi-" just then your phone began to ring. Thinking it was Kane you picked up without looking.
"Hey Y/N, I'm surprised you answered...I don't want this to seem stalker-ish, but I'm outside can we just talk a bit?" Shorter desperately asks.
"F-fine." You hung up and grabbed your coat. Aubrey looked at you curiously.
"Did he cancel or something?"
"No Shorter is outside, but Kane just said he was on his way. I'm going to try and get rid of Shorter before he shows up." You sighed heading out the door.
"I'll come with you in case something happens." Both Aubrey and you made your way to the front of the building.
Shorter was leaning against the railing of the steps. You didn't want to admit it, but he looked good and you were checking him out. When Shorter looked at you his eyes were wide and his mouth hung open in awe.
"Y-Y/N, you look gorgeous. Are you two going somewhere?"
"I have a date..." you looked away from him.
"Really...thats cool." He nervously rubbed the back of his neck.
"I just wanted to see if you got the flowers, they had trouble with the address I guess my handwriting wasn't the best." Shorter smiled weakly.
"They were nice flowers." You commented and left it at that. Kane had arrived and Aubrey was set on being nosy.
Kane's hair was no longer red but jet black and loose curls. He had dressed no differently than you expected. Like he put effort into it, but at the same time none at all. Kane always appeared flawlessly put together.

"Y/N you look beautiful." He took your hand into his fully ringed one.
"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself."
"Ahem" Aubrey "cleared" her throat.
"Am I missing something here?" Kane looked to Aubrey and Shorter.
"Oh this is my friend Aubrey." She gave an enthusiastic wave.
"Ah nice to finally meet you." He shook her hand.
"Are you ready to go?" You asked.
"Eager one you are, yeah we can go." He waved to Aubrey before helping you into his car.
"Who's the guy? You never said." Kane questioned.
"A guy that helped me move into my apartment. He came to see if I needed anything else." You felt bad about not telling Kane the whole truth, but you wanted to forget about Shorter.
