🎅🏻Christmas🎅🏻

5AM the clock read. You looked next to you to spot your two boys sound asleep. Creeping out of bed you made yourself some coffee to prepare for the day ahead of you. You had to set the house up for the guest that would arrive today, your sister and her husband and kids, plus Ash and Eiji and who could forget Aubrey and Kane?

You sat in your robe and staired out the kitchen window watching the snow fall. What a perfect day for such serene scenery. Shorter appeared down the stairs rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Merry Christmas," he spoke his voice raspy from just waking up.

"Merry Christmas," You smiled.

"When did you two go to sleep last night?" You questioned since you fell asleep before the first movie they watched was over.

"It was really late I woke up at one point and Jian was still up. Then I got up again and he was asleep so I turned the tv off." You nodded in response and took another sip.

"So he'll be knocked out for a bit,"

"Hopefully." Shorter sat down with a bowl of cereal.

It was around 7 o'clock when Jian popped up in the kitchen where you were cooking. Jian stood there, silently, until you finally acknowledged his presence.

"yes?"

"Presents," Jian finally spoke. You shook your head.

"I don't get a good morning or Merry Christmas?" You pretended to be hurt.

"Mornin, presents?"

This kid.

"When everyone gets here we can open presents." You watched the boy pout and walk away.

Ding Dong

"I'll get it!" You heard Shorter call from the living room. As soom as the door opened you could hear Aubrey's loud mouth.

"Y/N~ I'm finally home~" She sang. Due to how busy the both of you were and the distance it was hard to visit your hometown. You hadn't seen her since Jian was born.

"Aubrey!" You felt overly joyed that she was here. Although the two of you kept in contact a lot it was different seeing her in person.

"It's been so long, Kane!" You went to hug him as well. It was nice to see that Aubrey finally found someone special to her.

"It's not a Christmas gift, but since I was coming I wanted to personally give this to you." She handed you a rather thick envelope. You opened it and to your surprise it was a wedding invitation.

"No way!" You jumped up and down with her.

"Yes way!" Aubrey was smiling ear to ear.

"Mommy who's that?" Jian tugged on your sweater.

"You must be Jian." Aubrey bent down to his level.

"This is your Godmother Aubrey and Godfather Kane." You introduced the two. Jian nodded like he understood, but honestly he didn't care. To him they were just more people to play with.

The doorbell rang again and luckily everyone was already gathered by the door. It was your sister this time. All four of her kids came rushing in out of the cold followed by her and Liam.

"Aunt Carmen!" Jian exclaimed practically jumping in her arms.

"Jian, boy have you grown," She ruffled his hair.

Everyone moved to the living room where the tree was set up. The tv on playing whatever Christmas movie there was the house smelled of food. Christmas cookies were out on the table.

Jian, Carter, and Ian ran off to play along with the twins Miyah and Kya. The only people they were waiting for now was Ash and Eiji. As if they could hear their names being called they showed up a few minutes later.

Ash had a Santa hat on while Eiji wore an elf one. They carried in a giant sack of presents and set them next to the tree. Once everyone was sat down and comfortable gifts began to get passed around.

Shorter wrapped his arm around you as the two of you watched the children excitedly unwrap their gifts. He pressed a soft kiss to your temple when Jian turned around eyes widened at the gift Shorter bought. It was something he begged for since it had been on tv and the last time you checked they were sold out.

"Shorter..when did-?"

"I have my ways." He smiled.

After the kids were done and out of the way the adults decided to open their gifts now. The last one you opened was from Shorter it was a necklace, but not any necklace. Shorter grabbed a light to shine through it and different ways of saying "I love you" was written inside.
