(Requested by zyebana_yaoistka This thing really did not want to be written. I was in a fluff mood but when I was trying to write it, it kept wanting to angst. I was kinda frustrated and the ending is a little rushed but it's short and fluffy, which is what I was trying to go for. Some things aren't exactly right but I had to change stuff to make the story flow better)
Nightmare's POV
Another day in Dreamtale. I'm about 100% sure that almost everyone hates me. The only ones who don't hate me are Dream and Corrupted. I'm not entirely convinced Dream can hate anyone so that might be why he doesn't hate me.
"Hey, loser" Not these guys again. "What are you doing out here so alone?"
"I was just about to go home. I won't bother you," I say before quickly turning to flee but the leader of the group grabs my shoulder. I can feel Corrupted get angry. Where's the stupid positivity child when you need him? They never try this stuff when he's around. Corrupted chill. It's ok.
These kids are trying to beat you up, you call that ok? Let me out. I can protect you. No.
I feel a hard punch hit my face. "Hey, look at me when I'm talking to you, freak" That's it. I'm going to kill these kids. You've got no choice now, Night. Corrupted, no!
3rd person POV
The other kids watch in horror as a black goopy figure materializes out of Nightmare's shadow. The figure smiles crazily at the kids. "BOO"
They run away terrified. "You didn't have to be that dramatic."
"Sure, but did you see the looks on their faces? They were so scared."
"Corrupted, that wasn't nice"
Corrupted rolls his eyelights. "You've been hanging out with Dream too much. You should spend more time with me"
"I do try to spend time with you, but those kids..."
"Don't worry about them. I can handle it."
"You can't just do it for me all the time, I feel helpless."
Corrupted sighs. "Fine, next time I'll let you handle it but they hurt you. I will hurt them and you can't stop me."
"Thank you"
