Unfinished Idea

(Exactly what the title suggests, I don't think I'm going to finish it since I haven't touched it in a while but I thought y'all might like to see it.

I don't even remember what I was thinking when I made this but the idea was that Ink and Error are in the 'real world' and all the other characters are story characters, and Ink wants to keep the library with the physical copies while Error thinks it's a waste of space and they should just move everything online because no one even visits the library anymore. I don't think I mentioned in this that they co-own the library, but it's an important detail. Error handles a lot of the legal stuff and business aspect while Ink is the librarian who actually runs the place)

StoryKeeper!Ink's POV

They say everyone has a story to tell, and they're right. I guard the library and the stories that live there. These books, they're not dead pieces of wood, they live and change, they almost seem to breathe at times.

The books are magical, you can enter them and they show you their stories. I think everyone should read them. Not everyone feels the same way I do, Error has been stealing the books from me, not all of them, but some. They still exist, I know it, but I can't find them. It's no use looking in the other books, you have to travel back to the library to get to other books.

Error walked into the library while I was looking with a stack of my books. I grab the books from his arms. "Oh my precious babies, what did he do to you?"

"I hope you know how weird you sound talking to your books like that."

"What did you do to them?!"

"Relax, all I did was go through and make digital copies so everyone can read them online."

"I told you specifically not to do that. No one can feel the book's magic that way, they have to use the library."

"Ink, they're just books. There's nothing special about them."

"Yes, there is, you just have to believe in the magic."

"This isn't some fairytale, but sure, the books are magic." He says sarcastically.

"Fine then, let me show you." I drag him over to one of the books on the pedestal. I start talking nicely to the book. "Hi, my friend doesn't believe me about the magic, can we enter so I can show him?"

Error just seems so over this already. "Ink, this is just a chunk of paper with a cover. It can't hear you."

I put my hand over his mouth to tell him to shush. I start to read out loud and the book glows a blue color. "Touch it."

"Uhh, what is this magic doohickey?"

"It's just the book. It wants us to go in." Error seems to think that this was a bad idea and tries to walk away. I grab his arm and pull us into the story.

"You crazy librarian! Now I'm inside a book!"

"Don't worry, I know how to get us out. I've been here plenty of times. We just have to go along with the story."
