A Thousand Words *COMPLETE*

Chapter Six

The sound of my alarm clock wakes me up 6.30am Monday morning well atleast the sun shining through didnt wake me any earlier thanks to the new addition to my room. I wonder what this week has in store! I head for the kitchen and make a coffee
"Morning Ry" Leigh says, shes already ready for the day ahead dressed in her red and grey coffee shop uniform.
"Morning Leigh. Coffee?" I ask
"No ta I'm heading out in a second I'm on open up this week" she replies through yawns.
"Enjoy" I laugh and head back to my room, I place the freshly made hot coffee on the night stand and head for the shower.

The morning at work goes by pretty fast having a bit of banter with the lads always makes the days more manageable. Me and Cass arranged to meet for lunch since we dont work to far from one another. I arrive at Gregg's and see Cass lining up, I grab a roast chicken salad baguette and a orange lucozade and stand next to Cass
"You made me jump" Cass laughs
"Here give me yours go grab a table" I reply. She hands me her tuna sweetcorn sandwich and bottle of pure orange juice and finds a table for us to sit at. After a few minutes I've joined her.
"Hows your morning been?" I ask Cass whilst unwrapping my baguette
"So, so yours?" She asks
"Its been decent" I reply

After 30mins of eating and talking we head out the store and go in our opposite directions. We spoke about Halloween since it's coming up shortly Bar 4 are holding a Halloween costume night and we made arrangements to go it should be fun, the past couple years have been anyway. We left it a little last minute this time since it's only 2weeks away guess that means I need to grab a costume soon, maybe I'll plan something so me, Cass, Nial, Leigh and Mac can all go together to get our costumes and have some lunch in the process.

The day goes by pretty fast before I no it I'm in the Chinese for a take out I give the man my order which consists of chicken chow mein, egg fried rice and some chips. I hang about for around 20minutes until the food is ready, pay the man and head home. Once I'm comfy on the sofa eating my chinese and watching some shit on tv I send Nial, Leigh and Cassie the same text. I dont bother sending Mac one Cassie will let him know.

TO - CASSIE, LEIGH, NIAL

Bar 4 halloween night not this weekend next. What you say we all go together and grab costumes and lunch this weekend?

I put my phone aside and clean up the mess from the food I've just eaten, switch the tv off and head for my room. No ones replied yet I'll have a shower and chill.

After an hour or so in the bathroom, I'm showered, shaved my beard, creamed and brushed my teeth I feel exhausted roll on friday! As I slump onto the bed my phone pings

FROM LEIGH -
Sounds good to me!

TO LEIGH -
Sweet

Another ping

FROM NIAL-
Sounds good to me mate. I'm at Leigh's tonight see ya tomorrow

TO NIAL -
Cool

Still no text from Cassie hopefully she comes along would be nice we havent all met up and had lunch for a long time sure we hit bar 4 together but its not the same I mean none of us remember most of the night the morning after. Like Cass can read my thoughts my phone pings with a message from her.

FROM CASSIE-
Count me in! Mac wont be coming his busy with work he wont be at the party either

TO CASSIE-
Great! No worries glad you can make it

This is the first time Mac's never come along to a party with us to be honest Cass seems to let loose alot more with out him around anyway so I'm looking forward to both weekends even more. Will be like old times! Me and Cass against the world!

The weeks dragged but finally saturday is here and I'm on my way to meet them all at the mall for 1. We decided on meeting at a Mexican restaurant for lunch then were shop around for costumes after I'm thinking to go as the joker but were see, looking forward to seeing what the others wear.

I see Nial and Leigh hand in hand approaching the Mexican restaurant I'm currently standing outside waiting for them.
"Alright fella!" Nial says greeting me, Leigh gives me a hug and kiss on the cheek and realises Cass isnt here yet.
"Where's Cassie I'm starving!" Leigh moans
"No idea, sure she will be here......" I say but get interrupted
"I'm here, that poxy satnav made me turn off the wrong way" Cassie says rolling her eyes. We laugh and I greet Cass with a hug and soft kiss on the cheek and whisper to her
"You're here now"
To be honest even though I already knew Mac wasnt coming I'm shocked to see he isnt here I'm half expecting him to come running towards us any minute.

After a few hours spent in the Mexican restaurant, eating, chatting and laughing we make our way out and head for some stores we could possibly get outfits from.
"I'm looking for a big bad wolf costume" Nial says
"I need a little red riding hood costume I'm gonna put some fake blood as if the wolf's clawed at me and I'm bleeding" Leigh winks
"What about you Cass?" I ask looking in Cassie's direction
"I dunno I'm undecided I was thinking either Harley Quinn or a witch what about you Ry?" Cassie shrugs
"The joker" I replie with a smirk
"Nice one! Cass you should defo be Harley Quinn!" Nial states. Cassie shrugs and laughs "sorted"
So now we all no what we are looking for it should be easier.

Ok it definitely wasnt easier 2hours later we've all got our costumes and head out the mall. The girls are walking in front of me and Nial so Nial takes his chance to say
"Fucking hell remind me to never go costume shopping with the girls again" I laugh and replie
"I hear you, just us two next time"
What was supposed to be a halloween costume shopping trip turned into oooo I might need this, ooooo this might come in handy kind of shopping trip. I enjoyed watching Cass smile and get excited over little things thou so every cloud and all that. Roll on next weekend!!
