Chapter Sixteen

As we approached the white front door and pressed the doorbell I suddenly got a stomach full of butterflies because it's all about to come very real.
"Oh what a lovely surprise I wasnt expecting use two" my mum says pulling me and Cassie into a group hug, to say shes happy to see us would be an understatement. Me and Cass wiggle from her embrace.

"Hey mum, you gonna let us in?" I ask

Mum ushers me and Cass to the sofa and heads to the kitchen no doubt to get some tea and biscuits for us all.

"Me too, just dont go agreeing on getting married tomorrow" I laugh and Cass laughs in response I see her shoulders relax I guess she just needed some reassuring.
Several minutes later Mum walks in with a tray that's holding a tea pot, little jug of milk, some sugar cubes, a few cups and a plate of different biscuits, she places it on the small solid oak coffee table in front of us.
"Help yourself kids" she laughs gesturing to the tray
"Wheres Kyle?" I ask
"Oh he had to nip out he will be back soon" mum replies
"Oh ok" I says
"Ok use two what's going on, as much as I loved the surprise it's out of the ordinary so what isit, is everything ok?" She asks and I see the geuiene concern on her face. I wanted to wait so that Kyle would be here too but I dont think I can put mum through the agonising wait. I rest my hand on Cassies leg and begin filling mum in on what's been happening since our last visit.

After spending the day at my mums place filling her in on mine and Cassie's relationship we made our way home, we was going to stay but we couldnt bare talks of a wedding anymore. I slump into the sofa and hear Cass flick the kettle on
"Tea?" She asks
"Please" I reply
After a few minutes Cassie comes into the living room sets the tea and coffee down on the coasters on the coffee table and snuggles into me her head nuzzling perfectly into my neck I enhale her scent before placing a few soft kisses onto her head.
"Your mum was way to excited" Cassie laughs
"If she had her way I reckon we would be married by morning" I shake my head
"Ry what do you think of a nice getaway?" Cassie asks sitting up to face me
"Sounds perfect, when are you thinking?" I replie
"How about 10days in the maldives? And as soon as we can?" She shrugs
"Yess! Let's have a look now" I say grabbing the laptop from under the coffee table. The idea of a getaway sounds perfect we could both use some down time.
We scroll through the laptop together looking through all different places we could stay until we finally decide on a beautiful 2bedroom villa all inclusive and giving us access to a private pool. We book it there and then for 16days time
"The countdown begins" I laugh
"Cant wait" Cass smiles and nuzzles her face into my neck we snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie 'columbiana' one of Cassies favourites.

The sound of my alarm ringing through the bedroom pulls me from the deep sleep I was enjoying way to much and I grunt as I swing my legs round to the side of the bed to get up. I suddenly feel Cassie's warm arms draped over my shoulder as she presses light kisses on the back of my neck

I arrive at the garage just in time, I'd spoken to my dad briefly about me and Cass being together and he was as happy as mum was well minus talks of a wedding any time soon
"Morning son" my dad greets me with a cup of freshly made tea, I take it from his hand and take a small sip feeling grateful
"Cheers, dad I need to book some time off me and Cass booked a holiday last night" I say
"Should be fine mate when you going?" He asks
"In 15days" I say in a low voice. I mean i know it's a bit last minute so theres every possibility he may kick up a fuss
"Bit short notice Ry, how long will u be gone?" Dad asks sipping his tea
"Holiday is booked for 10days but I was hoping a day off before and a day off after so 12days?" I reply
He takes a deep breath in and exhaled slowly
"I mean it's not ideal Ry but use deserve it. Were be fine son" he says patting me on the shoulder as he makes his way to a customer approaching. I half expected him to kick up a fuss I wouldn't have blamed him I know it's very last minute but I guess he knew I was going regardless of what he said as I'd mentioned it was booked last night.
"Thanks dad" I say just before he reaches the customer and he waves his hand in response.

Lunch time rolls around quick and i head straight for MummaGs i order Cassies favourite for take out and then head straight to her office. It's so formal the building is surrounded by people in office attire, guys in suits and women in black dresses or white blouses paired with black skirts and I walk in covered in oil and looking a mess I get a few looks but I'm used to it now and I dont really care anymore because when i get to the end of this long corridor and see Cassie's face light up when she sees me place the MummaGs bag in front of her the stares from the snobby people will have been worth it.
I enter Cassies office and she looks up with a smile noticing me, shes on the phone so she holds a finger up letting me know she wont be long I unpack the food and place it on the desk in front of her when she realises what I've brought her, her eyes widen
"I'm sorry sir theres an urgent matter that I need to attend I will call you back immediately, my apologies" she says to whoever is on the other side of the phone, he must have been ok about it because she hangs up calmly and smiles at me
"Thank you baby" she says walking around the other side of the desk to me planting a kiss on my lips she goes to pull away but instead I pull her into my lap and kiss her hungrily, I will never ever get enough of this woman I begin running my hand up her skirt and she smacks me away
"Sorry hot stuff I'm swamped today, I'll make it up to you tonight thou" she winks
"I'll hold you to that. Oh yeah I spoke to dad sorted the time off for our holiday" I said
"Was he ok? I also sorted it. Seems were good to go" she smiles taking a bite of the bbq supreme pizza
"I think so well he didnt have much of a choice anyways and he knew it" I laughed
"So I mentioned it to Leigh, the holiday I mean, she said her and Nial would be up for a getaway" Cassie says taking a gulp of the Pepsi I brought along
"Cool I dont mind, were talk about it later I gotta go back. Enjoy the food gorgeous" I say. I quickly plant a kiss on Cassie's forehead and head out back to work.
