The hot water coarsed over Mina's body as she stood under the shower head. The shampoo had long since washed away as had the suds from her body wash. She smelled better. Her hair certainly felt better. But it did nothing to stop the slight pang in her chest. Even a simple "sorry, busy" would have done something to alleviate the abandoned feeling she had. But he hadn't bothered.

The water slowly started transitioning from scourching to luke warm to just barely not freezing. Her back slid down the cold tiles before she came to sit on the shower floor. She tilted her head back to let the water wash down the front of her throat and chest instead of flooding her face with strands of wet hair. The chattering of her teeth nudged her mind back to reality. The pink tone from the heat had already left her skin. It was a pale white that screamed to be warmed up.

"Aren't you done yet?" The yelling was coming from the other side of the door. Mina couldn't be bothered to answer. She wasn't even sure why Sunny had showed up, let alone with food and movies. It didn't make sense to her.

"I'm coming in."

She didn't turn her head as the door swung open. She didn't look up as the water was abruptly shut off nor when she was pulled up into a standing position. She barely registered that her feet were moving, or rather foot, until she was seated on the edge of her bed shivering. A warm fluffy towel was wrapped around her. Her hair was pulled back and fluffed with another towel.

"Lift your arms."

She vaguely followed directions. It didn't stop a robe from being pulled around her or her arms stuffed through the sleeves. The belt was tied tighter than she would have liked but that was beyond her control. She was shifted and pulled onto her back. The legs under her head were slightly more toned than the last time she had laid on them. Who knew running around behind someone's back was such good exercise? The thought almost caused her to smile. Almost.

Her computer was opened in front of them. Sunny's long arm stretched around her to press play on the screen. The familiar Disney logo took over the screen. It wasn't but a few more seconds before Mina realized the movie they were about to watch. Tears were already gathering in her eyes before she got the first glimpse at Ellie and Carl. The movie always made her cry. Memes about the movie made her cry. Just thinking about the movie made her cry!

"You just had to pick this one," she grumbled.

The soft laugh from above her made her want to turn her head. Instead she snuggled down closer to the warmth of Sunny's thighs. "Sadist," she whispered.

As expected, the movie passed with plenty of tears. Sunny stuffed enough pizza in Mina's mouth that she almost choked several times. It had been so long since they had watched a movie together or even been in a room with an even remotely friendly vibe. It was almost enough for her to forget that the past year had even happened but that was too much to sweep under the rug so carelessly.

They sat in silence once the credits started to roll. She let the silence linger for moment more before sitting up. She turned so that she could look directly at the girl before speaking. "So why did you show up?"

Sunny blinked once. Twice. A third time before speaking. "I saw the photos on Twitter and thought you could use a friend. I read the comments."

Mina nodded her head. She had expected as much. If Sunny saw the photos then she knew the texts had been real. She knew that Mina had met Jungkook. Obviously that was why she was there.

"Don't. Don't even act like I'm only here to chase clout. If I was then don't you think I would have led with that? I'm not that shallow." It was almost funny to hear Sunny defend herself. The girl who could do no wrong, who could leave her friend at the drop of a hat, wasn't that shallow. She snorted.

"Sure. You just magically had a change of heart. Just wanted to check up on me. Wanted to amend the past year or am I still nothing to you?" On one hand she knew she wasn't still angry at her. She had moved past it. But she couldn't very well call Jungkook and start yelling at him. She couldn't show up at his door and demand that he not ignore her.

Sunny rolled her eyes and pushed herself up from the bed. "Whatever. I was just being here for you. I don't expect you to be grateful, I know I fucked up, alright? I get that. But I'm sorry and I hate that I put you through that." Her voice dropped down to almost a whisper. "I'm going to go. I'll text you later. If you need anything, anything at all, you have my number."

There was a short list of things that Mina considered herself needing but one popped into her head before Sunny made it to the door. "Just one," she said.

"Yeah?" the blonde looked back at her.

"Why? If you hate that you did it, why'd you do it?" she asked.

Sunny stood there for a minute, maybe two before she opened her mouth. "I thought I loved him." She didn't stick around for questioning. With that she was out the door and Mina was left sitting alone in her bed.
