Jungkook sat alone in his room. His reflection stared back at him from the black screen of his phone. His thumb slid down to unlock it. The last thing he had opened was still waiting for him. Message after message, he read everything he had written to Mina. Paragraphs were saved in his drafts. Things he had wanted to send to her but hadn't had the chance nor the nerve. Then his phone was taken. It had only been given back to him an hour before. He debated what to say. A  simple hi was too casual. She had kicked him out. He couldn't imagine what she had thought when he fell in her door with some girl on top of him.

He chewed on the inside of his cheek while debating his next move. He had to fix things. Jungkook typed out a formal apology, then deleted it. He typed out an explanation, then deleted it. His head dropped. There was really only one thing he wanted to say the most to her, to try to put everything into a single line. Just three words. He typed them out and hit send before he could erase them.

Jungkook:

I miss you.

Mina came to a complete stop in the hallway. Sunni was seated against the outside of her door. Her phone lay on the floor next to her.

"You were out late," she repeated. Her eyes held an almost accusatory glare to them as she looked over Mina. "I guess you had no issue forgiving him but not me, huh?" She pushed herself up from the wall and leaned back against it.

Mina's mouth went dry. The all too familiar feeling of guilt washed over her. Just like she always had before, Sunny had turned the situation on her. It only took a moment for her to snap out of it, anger replacing the guilt in an instant.

"I wasn't with him and I haven't forgiven him, but tell me something. Is it him that I should even be mad at? You were on top of him, Sunny. Not the other way around. He looked mortified. He had come to surprise me, and you did what? Did you jump him? Did you throw yourself on him?" She stepped forward until she was only inches from the blonde.

Sunny's eyes widened with surprise at Mina's words. It wasn't like the smaller girl to stand up for herself. Even when Sunny had mocked her, she had taken it. She had never lifted her voice to defend herself. It wasn't missed that she wasn't defending herself, but him.

Her painted red lips raised in a smirk. "That's what you want to hear, right? That I threw myself on him? That he tried to fight me off?" She leaned forward so that her nose brushed against Mina's hair. Her breath ghosted against Mina's ear as she spoke. "I'm the bad guy, right? That would make this so much easier for you, wouldn't it?"

The lock clicked beside them. Mina turned the door handle and pushed it opened. She didn't spare Sunny a glance as she maneuvered her body away from her. "It's never easy with you," she whispered.

A bubble of anger rose in Sunny's chest. Her face flushed as she watched Mina walk away from her, the dismissive exit seemed so final.

"Wait!" She called out. The door stopped against her outstretched palm. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I hadn't... I didn't stop to think. I was playing around and I know that was stupid. I know I shouldn't have done that. I didn't come down here to pick a fight. I left my wallet in your room. I can't get back into my room since my key is in it."

Mina didn't look back at her. She had pulled her suitcase from under her bed and was busy folding clothes to go inside it. She threw a hand out to gesture for Sunny to get it herself. She turned her back to the girl and riffled through her closet. The clothes hangers were shoved angrily across the metal bar.

Mina's phone screen lit up with a text. With the sound off, it vibrated on the bed next to Sunny's wallet. She glanced up at Mina. If she had heard it, she showed no indication. Sunny slid it on top of her wallet and stuffed them both hastily into her purse.

"So you're going home for the break?" she asked softly.

"Yep," Mina answered. She pulled a few shirts out and threw them into the bag without looking up.

"When are you leaving?" she asked.

Mina's features dropped into a frown as she finally paused. "Tomorrow. If class lets out, I can leave at lunch. If not, I'll leave after."

Sunny swallowed hard. It wasn't like Mina to not even look at her. It was clear that the girl was angry. It was obvious that she wanted nothing to do with her. "Mina... I'm leaving right after class. I don't think it's letting out early which means you wouldn't get home until really late. Besides, bus tickets go up during the holidays. Just ride with me. It's the least I can do to apologize. Please?"

Mina didn't look impressed with the offer. She hadn't stopped scowling. "I'd rather walk," she said. "Besides, the bus will get me there just fine."

"With a cast? You'd have to store it overhead or buy a double seat since I doubt it will fit up top with your bag," Sunny argued. "And there may not even be two seats available at a cheap enough price. It would put a strain on your parents."

She had her there. Mina moved her bag in search of her phone. It wasn't on the bed where she had been sure she had left it. A look around told her it wasn't on the floor. She upended her purse onto the bed. Still no phone. She rolled her eyes. Maybe she had taken it after all. It was probably in the diner. "Are you sitting on my phone?" she asked.

Sunny jumped up from the bed and made a show of looking around for it. Her eyes watered as she looked over at Mina. "Please Mina. Please, let me make this up to you. You don't have to forgive me. You don't have to speak to me the whole way there. But please just let me take you. It's not out of the way. I'm going anyways. And without your phone, you can't even buy bus tickets or let your parents know to pick up you. Please," the last plea was whispered. She let her face fall.

It was one tactic that had never failed her. No matter how hateful she had been, Mina had never let her sit and cry.

The moment of silence drug on. She briefly began to wonder if she had finally pushed her too far. Sunny was just about to open her mouth to speak when Mina answered her.

"Fine. But this is the last time."

"I'll pick you up as soon as class is over," Sunny smiled. She left the room before Mina could change her mind.
