Mina followed behind Jimin and Tae slowly as they walked up to the front door. The crutch was an easy excuse for why her feet were dragging but it wasn't the whole reason. She was nervous. Security lights lit up the front of the house in front of her. Her pulse quickened. The idea of meeting the entirety of a band she had practically drooled over for years was intimidating. The idea that they already knew about her was even more so. She couldn't get the idea out of her head. She finally had to voice it.
"Tae, they don't know..." she was cut off by his chuckle.
"Oh, they know. Little gets past them. Kookie was getting out of bed without being threatened and harassed. He was on his phone all the time. Of course, they know," he shot her a playful wink.
Jimin glanced back at her over his shoulder and grinned before slipping a key into the lock and shoving the door open. "Normally I would say take your shoes off, but since you only have one we'll let it slide this time."
"We're home!" Tae called out.
Mina wanted to throw her hand over his mouth. She wanted to shush him. There was no need to call more attention to her.
The lights flipped on. Jin was the first to come around the corner. He waved the spatula in his hand and offered a friendly smile. "Almost done cooking. You're just in time. You must be Mina."
"Mina?" The happiest voice she had ever heard called out from the other room. It was only a moment before the source of the voice followed it. "I'm your hope! You're my hope! I'm J-Hope!" Hoseok moved past the others quickly and swept her into a quick hug. "But you can call me Hobi. Or Hoseok. Whichever you prefer," he smiled sweetly down at her.
A door opened behind them and a stock of blonde hair was easily seen above their heads. Namjoon smiled politely. "The infamous Mina we've heard so much about. Welcome."
It didn't escape her notice that there were two of them missing but with the majority of BTS in front of her, she was having a hard time remembering her own name. Just when she was starting to remember how to speak, another person came in. Yoongi stepped in from behind Jin from the kitchen. He looked over her carefully with a blank expression. When he met her eyes he finally softened his features into a small smile.
"Nice to meet you," he said.
If she still ran her blog about BTS she would have updated it on the spot and shattered the rumors about Yoongi being cold. They were all still facing her, waiting on her to say something. It clicked that she was standing there staring with her mouth hanging open.
"Shit. Oh shit. I'm sorry!" She threw her hand over her mouth. Beside her, Tae and Jimin burst into laughter. Hoseok was chuckling. Jin raised an eyebrow and Namjoon only shook his head.
"I get that a lot," Yoongi smirked and disappeared back into the kitchen.
"I am so sorry," Mina began. "I'm Mina. You already know that." Her face was burning with embarrassment. She bowed her head quickly. "It's great to meet you all, I'm so sorry for cursing!"
It was Jin's signature laugh that caused her to look up finally. "You're good. Just not what I was expecting!"
She awkwardly smiled as she glanced around the room. It was well put together and almost spotless save for an empty soda can sitting on the table. "Lovely place," she said.
They had begun to disperse back to their respective areas while waiting for the food to finish cooking. "He's at the company's dance rooms if you're looking for Jungkook," Jin said. His tone wasn't disapproving but he sounded cautious.
"Probably for the best right now. We were just stopping by to wait for the crowd of fans to stop following us. We've gotta get Mina back to her dorm," Tae said.
Jin waved the spatula at him. "I did not just cook for nothing. You're staying and eating. Mina too. It's the least you could do! We came home to find a car gone and the three of you missing! You didn't leave a note or even send a text! The fact that it was three of you together made it worse! What if you got caught out with a girl?" He glanced over at Mina and smiled quickly, "Not that there is anything wrong with you dear. I heard about your foot and I hope it heals quickly." He looked back at Tae and Jimin with a firm glare. "You two know better. It's bad enough to have Jungkook just running off but I expect more from the two of you. You're older. You should set a better example for him."
Mina held it together for most of it. At the mention of them being a better example, she lost it. She could barely contain her laughter. "Didn't Tae get lost in another country though?" she asked between gasps for breath.
He patted her on the back like she was choking. "There there," he said with a scowl. "It was once. One time! And no one lets me live it down."
"It's done," Yoongi called from the kitchen.
The door down the hall opened again. Hoseok followed Namjoon out. They were deep in conversation but Mina caught the words "World" and "Location" from them. Her eyes lit up. She wanted to ask what they were talking about but doubted she would get a straight answer. After the Agust D mixtape dropped, she had heard so many rumors about Hoseok releasing his own. That had been just before she had stopped following them. Her hopes sank. She had stopped following them but they had kept going without even knowing and there she was. Standing in their living room. They had welcomed her and seemed genuine.
"Smile," Jimin nudged her, "You get to eat Jin's cooking. Just brace yourself. Things get a little exciting when we all eat together."
