Magnus was desperate; desperate to find the answers about the feelings he'd been having since he had met Alexander Lightwood, the mysterious man. He had been so desperate that he had to call upon his Katatsiune God, who had helped him to learn about the aura Alec possessed, but he still didn't know much about the man himself. That is going to be his main focus now, he had already proposed the question to him about going on a date and got a "yes" from the Shadowhunter. Now, he needed to make sure that the date goes well so that he would be able to gain his trust, learn more about him, and get the answers he desperately needed.
He woke up with his head throbbing, the questions wandering in his mind hadn't let him gain much sleep. If he did sleep, it would be no more than an hour or so. He tried to magic it away, but it wasn't a headache, his mind was playing games with him and so it never went. He sighed then got out of his bed, got refreshed, and went into the kitchen to make himself breakfast. He knew the only thing that could stop the stupid throbbing were answers. He knew... knew that the day had just begun....

*At the institute*
It was a nice and chilly morning, the dawn had set in, and the clouds were covering the sun, blocking its crisp golden rays which held the city of New York in its embrace; there was a light drizzle with cold and gentle zephyrs.
Everyone was gathered around the kitchen making breakfast and having the regular chit-chat session when Alec walked in, in his regular casual black outfit, the only exception being his gear.
"Morning everyone!" He said cheerfully and walked towards the fridge, took out some fruits, and made cereals for himself while every eye turned towards him with a curious gaze, making a shiver run down his body. "Umm... Something's wrong?" He asked carefully while biting on the apple he took out.
Izzy and Jace exchanged a look, then Izzy decided to break the silence.
"Alec, you woke up! By yourself? After the mission we went on yesterday? Me and Jace were about to head towards your room to wake you up, but... you look all... good. What made THIS possible?" She crossed her hands above her chest and raised an eyebrow at him.
Alec gulped, but successfully hid it behind the gulp he made to swallow the fruit he was eating. Magnus Bane is making him do things which wasn't him, he was changing him. A simple good morning or good night text from him was enough to lighten up his entire mood in a second. But obviously, he can't tell his family that.
"I think that's because I'm awake for almost 2 hours, I didn't do much sleep, I guess I was way too tired that I couldn't sleep properly. And about my mood, everyone here knows how much I like this kind of weather, I was on my balcony reading a book, that's what made me refreshed." He finished his sentence carefully, making sure everyone had fallen for his lie.
Everyone sighed in unison, but a slight hint of concern was still there on the majority of their faces.
"Are you okay, big brother?" Izzy asked with a hint of concern in her voice.
"I'm fine, Iz! Just a little lack of sleep, that's it! Nothing to worry about." He gave her a reassuring smile.
"You've been behaving weirdly for a few days, big brother. Are you sure you're fine?" She said in her softest voice.
"I agree with Izzy, Alec. What's up with you?" Jace said with a little concern for his Parabatai.
"Hey, I said I'm fine. Will you two drop it now? And by the way, what were you people discussing before I walked in? I noticed the change in subject." He looked at everyone who were trying to look away from him, then he looked at his mother. "Mom?"
