Alec was sipping on the mug of hot chocolate, looking outside from the slightly ajar window. The cool gentle zephyrs and light drizzles were hitting his face, making his skin tingle and relax at the same time. He was enjoying the music of nature. It was raining heavily and the sound of the waterfall was now audible enough to reach the cabin. The whole thing was really soothing. He never enjoyed the silence like he was doing now.

Magnus looked at him from the kitchen and sighed. He was sitting like that for an hour and the rain didn't seem to stop. It was slightly cold so he had put on a fire in the fireplace which was the only source of light in the whole room, apart from the soft lights coming from the windows. It was evening and he had prepared dinner for both of them but Alec refused to eat, he was happy with his hot chocolate for now, making him worried. There was a soft whisper and Magnus looked at the source of it.

"Magnus..."

"Yes, darling?"

"Umm.. the.. marshmallows are over. Could you please, do your thing, and put more in it?" He asked softly in a baby voice.

Magnus looked at the shadowhunter and shook his head. "Alexander, you've been sipping on that drink for an hour and this is the tenth time you've asked me that. So my answer is, no. It's dinner time and we need to eat. Besides, your holiday time is over and we need to go back."

Alec looked at him with puppy eyes and pouted, making his boyfriend chuckle with amusement.

"You know you're impossible, darling, right? First, you didn't want to come because of your responsibilities and now you don't want to go back!" He shook his head at him.

Alec let out a deep sigh. "What can I say? I love it here! Now, marshmallows, pleaaassssssseee....."

Magnus looked at him, clicked his fingers making the mug disappear, and placed the dinner on the window sill instead, knowing Alec wouldn't budge away from that place.

"Hey!!" Alec protested. "I want my hot chocolate! I'm not hungry right now!"

"Alexander, eat!" He dragged one of the mini couches and sat opposite his shadowhunter near the window. The light zephyrs coming from the window made his whole body relax.

Alec glared at his boyfriend and pushed the plate away. "Magnus, I'm serious. I'm really not hungry right now. Can we eat after some time? I promise I will."

Magnus sighed. "Fine, but you know we need to get back to New York, right?"

Alec huffed and rested his head on the window, looking outside with longing filled in his eyes. "Do we really need to?"

"Yes, Alexander, we really need to!" He reached his hands to fix the locks falling on his face and Alec leaned into the touch.

"Can I have my hot chocolate with the dinner?" He looked at the dinner plate then at his boyfriend.

"You're impossible! Fine!" He clicked his fingers and summoned hot chocolate for the adorable shadowhunter. "Are you going to eat now?"

"Okay!" He took the fork and dug it into the roasted chicken taking a mouthful of it.

***************************

It was late at night and the last night of Alec's stay on Magnus' private island, and he was sulking about it. He didn't want to go back to reality. They were lying down in the bedroom with a blue-coloured duvet wrapped around them and Magnus was tracing patterns on his back. The rain was still falling heavily and it was now colder than before.

"What are you tracing on my back, Magnus? It seems like a name to me." He asked in his slightly sleepish voice, whatever the warlock was doing was making him calm and sleepy.
