To my lovely readers egurerk and pokemonshadowhunter. You both had been so much supportive throughout my writing journey and had helped me with your pieces of advice. And I love reading both your comments. So, as this story is coming to an end, I've added a small surprise for both of you in this chapter. Let's see if you can figure it out. Happy reading!

Alec was deep in his thoughts, idling with his engagement ring as he lay on his bed. It was midnight, the stars were shimmering up in the sky and the singing of crickets could be heard. He loved this kind of peacefulness, it was always calming and helped him clear his mind.
He was still not able to believe, that he was going to get married in the next few days, that he was actually, truly immortal now. It all still seemed like a dream to him.
•'It's not a dream, my dear shadowhunter. You're adorable. Couldn't sleep?'•
Magnus' telepathic voice echoed in his mind making him look around frantically. •'Magnus? How? Where?'•
•'You must have accidentally sent a telepathic message to me while you were thinking. And we can still talk through telepathy wherever we are, my silly adorable shadowhunter.'•
Alec groaned as a soft light blush crept on his cheeks. •'Oh'•
•'I know you are blushing right now. You're so cute. Why are you still awake?'•
•'Shut up. I'm not cute. And I was just thinking.... things.'•
•'Things? Are those things supposed to be pondering about our upcoming life?'•
•'You know me well. Yes. I still can't believe we're going to get married. Feels like we just started dating.'•
•'I can agree on that. It's been one and a half years yet still feels like it's only been a few weeks.'•
•'Maybe because it's only been a week since we are one.'• Alec smiled at the thought of that. •'By the way why are you still up?'•
•'Because of Lexi. She couldn't decide what to wear for the day after tomorrow and had thrown me under the bus to decide for her. I might be into fashion but she's impossible, seriously! She can't decide between 10 white dresses, and I'm like are you for real, Alexiane!'•
Alec laughed just by imagining the bickering between father and daughter, both were sassy at their best. •'My poor fiance.'•
•'Need you...'• He could hear the pouting in his voice resulting in a light smile appearing on his face.
*Knock* *Knock*
Alec turned towards the side of the door when he heard the knock. "Come in." He said softly, his voice still holding the authority. As the door opened, Jace walked inside, his blonde hairs falling over his eyes and his face screaming as if he had seen the monstrous duck.
"Hey..."
"Hey..." Alec replied and scooted to give his brother the space to lay down. He knew that expression well and knew that he's not going to sleep alone tonight. "Seen a duck or fought with Clary?"
"If I say both will you believe me?"
Alec pursed his lips to suppress the laugh that was stuck at the base of the throat but couldn't help the sound that managed to escape because of it earning a deadly glare from his brother. "Sorry, what happened?"
