*The next day*

Alec was in Magnus' loft, preparing chicken and mushroom soup for his beautiful boyfriend. He had taken a day off to spend time with his boyfriend and to take care of him. Even though it's been 24 hours since everything happened, Magnus was still exhausted and low on his powers and magic, and he was more than happy that he gets to take care of him.

"That smells delicious!" Magnus said as he walked towards the shadowhunter.

"You should be resting, Magnus." He said softly and pecked his cheek.

"I got bored, darling. There's literally nothing for me to do. Even those mundane shows are boring right now." He said pouting.

"Go to the couch and put some movie on then. You're still tired and it's clearly visible. You need to rest."

Magnus let out a loud sigh and looked at him pleadingly. "Alexander, darling, all I'm doing is rest since yesterday. Can we go out or at least do something other than watching mundane shows!?"

"Magnus, no. I'm not letting you exhaust yourself more when you're barely able to walk a few distance."

"Alexan-"

"Stop right there, no. By the way, can I ask you something if you don't mind?"

Magnus nodded, trying to dig into grilled meat loafs when Alec shoved his hands away.

"After how long have you used your demonic side powers? I've never seen something like that you did yesterday."

Magnus frowned at that. He did that to show and make it clear to his 'Father' that he's never going to join him but telling about this, his past, to the shadowhunter, he still wasn't sure about it. But he did knew that he could tell few things to make his curiosity go away.

"Last I remember was a century ago."

"Is that why you're still exhausted? Even after 24 hours?"

"Yes and no. I might have used it after a long time but using my demonic powers is a task in itself. I'm not just using the demonic powers I possess, I'm using every single bit of energy I possess and also keeping my human form intact so that it can't take control over me. Which is, I must say, is a very difficult task, Alexander."

Alec was completely speechless at that. He didn't know how to react, so he leaned in and kissed his forehead tenderly. "That's why you need to rest. Now, you Mr." He put his pointed finger above his heart. "Go to bed and rest, if you're that bored, read some book or do any of your warlock stuff. I'll bring the food there, okay?"

"Fine!" He said in defeat. He didn't want to admit that he was actually enjoying it. No one had ever shown him care the way this specific shadowhunter was doing so he was going to take all the advantage he could.

*******************************

Magnus was lying down on the bed, reading 'The Girl on the Window' when Alec opened the door to his bedroom holding a tray full of food. He walked in then kept it on the bed as Magnus started sitting up.

"Alexander! You know you didn't have to do this much, right?"

"Magnus, you've not eaten anything properly since yesterday and I haven't taken a day off just like that! So if I need to force feed you, I'm going to do it!" He said authoritatively.

There was something in the way he said that made Magnus oblige to him when it was always him making others bend on their knees. He didn't know what was it that always made him give in to this particular shadowhunter, and it kept annoying him again and again.
