Alec woke up to the smell of delicious food filling his nostrils. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, then looked around and found himself tucked in a thick and soft golden comforter in Magnus' bed. The loud sound of rain hitting the window was clearly audible in the silence of the loft, and it was really calming. He got out of bed and walked towards the kitchen where Magnus was cooking food for them. He approached him and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and nuzzled into his neck.
"Slept well?"
"Yes, all thanks to my beautiful boyfriend."
Magnus turned in the cage of Alec's arms and kissed him passionately. "That I am, shadowhunter!"
Alec rolled his eyes and shook his head. "What are you making?"
"Your favorite!"
Alec looked at him with wide eyes. "You're kidding, right?"
"Nope!" He gestured towards the stove.
Alec looked around and inhaled the delicious mixed smell of roasting meat, pot rice, and vegetable stew. He looked at his boyfriend with love and adoration filled in his eyes. He wanted to confess that he was in love with him but he was scared that he wouldn't hear the same from him and that would definitely make him upset. So, instead, he leaned in and kissed him softly. "Thank you, Magnus!"
"You won't thank me if it'll get burnt. So, let me cook now and you go and make yourself comfortable."
Alec kissed him one last time then went to the living room to watch some mundane shows till the time Magnus cooked the dinner.
When Magnus was done cooking, he set up the dinner on his balcony, creating a roof with the help of his magic so that they could enjoy the rain and eat dinner at the same time without getting wet. He called his shadowhunter and Alec appeared there with a warm smile on his face. He inhaled the mixed aroma of the food and rain and sighed softly.
"Love it?" Magnus asked.
"You know how much I enjoy this kind of weather, the food is just the icing on the cake."
Magnus smiled and pecked him softly then dragged him towards the dining area and they sat on their respective chairs enjoying the dinner and each other's company.

*Next day*
*At Institute*
Alec was talking to Underhill about his recent holiday with Lorenzo in his office, since the time he opened up about his sexuality and his relationship with Magnus, they both became close friends. He was really glad that everyone accepted him for who he was, but there were some homophobes still out there who didn't want to see him as their head. He didn't care what they thought but to his surprise, his mother and sister did, and so, they sent them away to another Institute with a clear warning in their own way.
He was in the middle of the conversation when the alarms suddenly started blaring loudly, attracting everyone's attention. Both men exchanged a look and ran toward the ops center. As soon as Alec reached the hall, he saw his sister and mother looking at the monitor with worried expressions.
"What's going on? What happened?"
Both women looked at him with frowns on their foreheads.
"Alec, there's a demon attack in Greenwich Village. And it's not just at any particular area it's in the whole village." Izzy said.
Alec's eyes widened at that. "What the! Did you identify the demons?"
"Yes, we just did!" Jace said. "There are dozens of Ravener, Shax and Scorpious demons spread in the whole village. We need to get there soon."
