The smoke break had been one of the quiet ones. Logan has said something about the weather and how they had a higher risk of becoming blind if they smoked but aside from that he and Dee had stood solemnly in silence breathing in the smell of wet grass from rain and nicotine.

Suddenly Dee moved closer but kept his gaze forward. "I've always wondered who were the others? The other guys you always were with" He said not letting any emotion show on his voice.

In an instant Logan had been reduced down to confusion of how he knew about Pride and the other 2 but also anger at once again having what he long since had tried to bury being dug up again and thrown at his face.

"Decan and this is sincerely, have you ever thought about just shutting the fuck up" He asked with a sharp tone. "Have you ever thought at all?"

"No" He blew the smoke right into Logan's face, smirking as he coughed. "Are you going to continue to derail the topic?"

"No. How do you know about them?" Logan responded forcing the cigarette from the other boy's hand so he would have something to calm him down.

"You never were that good at looking at your surroundings I suppose. Let's see I found an interesting place in the woods with these nice chairs and a table and an amateur tent. This was some time ago by the way. So I used the place as a shelter but when I woke up in the morning these 3 strangers were near me. If I remember correctly one of them pushed me to the ground and told me to get lost" He glanced over at Logan for just a brief moment "And then I saw you"

Logan frowned trying to remember any instance of meeting him before the day he joined the school. "You're obviously lying"

"Just because I saw you doesn't mean you saw me. You have big stupid glasses, I have great eyeballs! Especially the yellow one"

"Eye colors doesn't change the way your eye sight works you fool" The nerd corrected looking at him dismissively.

"Reality can be what I want to be you little bitch. Wait wait I see what you're doing. You're trying to deflect talking about your past....I think I just sounded like Picani. I really need to get out of this place" He sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. "What I'm trying to say is that I might have followed you around for a week and saw when you beat up that guy so badly he got sent to the hospital. I didn't hear it from a rumor, I was there. I could have helped you away from the people who sent you to the police or whatever. I could have made it so you never got to this school. But I didn't"

"You didn't see anything. You were dreaming!" It was the only excuse Logan could come up with. His communication skills goes down by around 72% when he's stressed.

"Aw is someone getting sad because I know his biggest secret" Dee pouted and pretended to wipe away a tear. "Maybe you can understand why I would rather not have my boyfriend hanging around with someone like you. Especially since he told me you slept over at his house again. Especially since you're all bandaged up which leads me to suspect something happened which put my lovely Patton in danger. Nice bruise by the way, really brings out your eyes"

"The only one who will be in danger is you if you don't step away from me" Logan put on a fake smile as he said it winking at the end.

Dee looked up shooting him a glare that looked so angry it was like he was trying to poison him just by looking. "You should stay away from Patton" Dee warned playing with the lighter he was holding. Flicking the fire on and off. He lit another cigarette staring at it as if he was thinking deeply.
