"This actually looks really fair.." My lawyer, Conner, said as he looked over the contract of the offered record deal. "According to this contract, they do get a percentage of the profits from your music, but only 20%. Which is pretty reasonable. You'll have creative control, meaning you can release the type of music you want, but they do have the right to advise you."

"They're gonna take a percentage of Digital sales
Tours, concerts, and live performance revenue. Merchandise sales, Endorsement deals
Appearances in movies and television shows and publishing revenue. That percentage being 30%, which isn't bad either, I've seen a lot worse." He told us before he licked his finger tips and turned to the next page.

He had an impressed look on his face as he read the rest. "This deal is actually very reasonable, they're not trying to rob you of all your profits, or take too many rights of your music like most labels do."

"So, in your opinion, she should take the deal?" Clara asked.

"I see no concerns here, so I'd say yes." Conner said, confidently.

"Well?" Clara looked at me. "It's all up to you now." Clara said, sliding the contract in front of me.

I looked at the blank space where I'm supposed to put my signature. I just prayed this wasn't a bad idea, I just prayed I wouldn't end up regretting this somehow. I have my doubts, but these past few days I've realized how much I've been missing out, how much I actually love making music. It just came so natural whenever I went into the booth.
