"The Resistance don't know what they have done," Kylo growled towards his Knights as he aimed for the hangar, towards his TIE fighter.

His Knights knew what that meant. In any matter of attack, they were always instantly by his side.

The sound of the alarms echoed in the halls as a ravenous Kylo Ren entered his TIE Whisperer. He wanted them all dead, every single one of them.

A sense of protection swirled with that of a desire for revenge. His loyalty for you had spiked and that meant he'd do anything for you... even if you wouldn't like the outcome.

But in that very moment? Kylo only knew one thing: he wanted to kill every last living human and creature that assisted the Resistance.

Flying out into the battle as TIE fighters fired at X-Wings, Kylo maneuvered his way through and obliterated anyone in his path. One bye one, X-Wing pilots dwindled in numbers. Kylo was seeing red, all he wanted was their blood for what they had done to you.

To his beloved.

To one of their own.

He growled through tight teeth, yelled obscene words as he felt his anger course through his blood. Kylo wanted to be by your side, but he knew if he did nothing, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself for what had happened to you.

Flying through the chaos, Kylo felt a familiar life force, spotting an orange and white X-Wing in the distance. Baring his teeth, Kylo chased after. Placing his thumb on his missile launcher, he narrowed his eyes. Pressing the red button and watching the weapon take its path, Kylo spoke through tight teeth, "you don't know what you have done, Poe Dameron."

Your unconscious body lied on the cot for hours with medical droids and nurses tending to you. They did everything they could, not taking Kylo's threat lightly. They knew how the man was. They knew he would kill anyone for disobeying him.

And you seemed very important to him.

A shadow casted upon you as a gloved hand reached into your own. "How could they do this to you?" Kylo nearly whispered. "You would not be pleased knowing I killed them all... but if they had killed you... I would've stopped at nothing to destroy every last Resistance member." Eyeing you, Kylo lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a kiss against your knuckles. "I could never lose you... I'd rather you leave me and this war behind than have someone take you out for good. At least I'd know you're alive and safe."

It angered him, yet, it pained him. The idea of your life being taken away. He had just discovered something so genuine and strong between the two of you and the grief would only strike something destructive within him. Worse than he already was.

But all that mattered to him now was that you'd wake up.

"Please come back to me," his voice nearly cracked as he squeezed your hand. "Please."

Hours turned into days and Kylo was becoming more and more restless. You had yet to wake up, still in your unconscious state. Kylo visited you every chance he got, staying by your bedside at night and refusing to be anywhere else when it was time for him to rest... even though sleep seemed impossible at this point.

Sitting on his throne and discussing matters with General Pryde and a few other officers, Kylo suddenly sat up straight.

"Sir?" Pryde spoke up.

"We will continue this later," Kylo instantly said as he aimed for the door. "You are dismissed." With a wave of his hand, and as the officers turned and left the throne room, Kylo nearly sprinted out. His long strides took him further, faster. Taking turns, rushing down halls and past nurses who didn't bother giving him a second look, Kylo waved his hand for the door before him to open.

Standing there with a racing heart, Kylo's eyes widened. There you were, sat up against your pillows. Taking in heavy breaths with a heavy heart, Kylo took slow steps towards you.

At the sound of footsteps against the tile floor approaching you, you turned your head. Seeing who it was that now stood before you, a small smile grew on your lips.

"Y/N..." Kylo softly uttered out your name, removing his glove and carefully reaching for your cheek.

"Kylo," you breathed, leaning your head into his palm.

Shutting his eyes for a moments worth, Kylo leaned in and pressed his forehead against yours. "You had me impatient."

Letting out a weak laugh, you tilted your head up enough to kiss him, "I'm sorry."

"No..." he shook his head, kissing you back, "they did this, not you."

Gently pushing Kylo back, you looked at him, searching his eyes, "what did you do?"

Looking you in the eyes, Kylo took in a small breath, "I went after them..." Gulping, he then looked down, fearful for your reaction, "I killed them."

"Hey..." Reaching for his chin and lifting his head, you studied his face, "I'm here, I'm alive. That's what matters."

Eyeing you and feeling his heart flutter, Kylo spoke, "I knew you wouldn't be happy with what I've done... but I—"

"You don't need to explain. Let's enjoy this moment, okay? Me being here, alive, with you," you nodded, reaching into his hair and combing your fingers through it.

Letting out a deep breath, Kylo caressed your cheekbone with his thumb. "On that day... when the attack happened, I went looking for you."

"I had a feeling," you grinned. "You wanted to see me, hmm?" Twirling some of his hair within your fingers, you spotted the shy expression he now wore.

"Yes..." Nodding as he felt the heat rush to his cheeks, Kylo bit his inner lip, "I wanted to feel you and... be with you. To know that I truly have you. That I've earned your trust and... that you truly want to stay."

"Needy," you teased, reaching over and tugging him to you, embracing him in your arms. Feeling his arms snake around you as Kylo carefully sunk into you, resting his face in your neck, you knew he did not want to move from you.

He never felt this comfortable and wanted... or even safe in someone's arms before. Almost as if he were living a life outside of the war with just you. "I want to stay with you, like this, forever."

Chuckling as you felt his soft hair against your fingers, you sighed, "me too."

"Stay with me..." he whispered.

"I told you, Kylo, I want to stay," you muttered.

"I mean with me, not the Order. Be with me... By my side. I... want you." Lifting his head, Kylo looked at you, "please."

Reaching up and caressing his cheek, feeling his scar against your fingertips, you nodded. "Okay," you smiled. "But, please... get me out of this room."

Feeling his heart in his throat, Kylo nodded. Standing to his feet and kissing your cheek, he rushed out of your room without a word.

You sat there with a fluttering heart, feeling like a bird in a cage, begging to be released. A feeling so strong hadn't been felt in so long. It had been years since you last felt for someone...

It had been years since you last felt love.

What you suffered through left a thick scar on your heart, a heavy wound that took you years to heal from. Yet, here you are, falling deep into the arms of a man who you... in a sense, stole from.

A messy tale to be told, but you weren't a simple person and your life was anything but organized.

For now, you'd let yourself fully understand the feelings you now held for the Supreme Leader.

For now, you'd let yourself understand and accept that you were in love.
