The Next Day
Friday

"Okay guys!" Nikki claps his hands together "That was okay, but I really feel like we could be tighter. So let's run it again."

I had been watching them rehearse for about an hour, and this would be the third time they have repeated the same song.

I also had never realized before how many people went into making this show happen.

There was the stage manager, the choreographer for the dancers, the sound crew, the lightening crew, and a bunch more.

The amount of people in this place is so large, that it's making me feel very small.

That's all until Nikki looks at me. When his green eyes meet mine, I literally feel like the only person in the room.

While watching them play through the song again I admired the way Nikki positioned his bass, and the way he moved around.

I don't know why I hadn't noticed before, but when Nikki was preforming it was a very sensual experience.

It had me hanging off my chair and every so often I would have to wipe off drool from my mouth.

When me and my dad got here Nikki had given me the biggest smile that immediately made my insides churn, and I had then returned it back to him.

I was again tempted to give him a hug like I was yesterday, but I decided to restrain myself since my dad was right there.

I had also greeted Tommy who wasn't in his usual upbeat mood, and was acting a little grumpy. So I didn't talk to him much.

Mick was looking well. The color was begging to return to his face and his personality was very upbeat. I was happy to know he was doing good.

I had said hi to Nikki, but we didn't really have a chance to talk because they had started as soon as we got there.

I was still hoping to talk to him later though, the thought of seeing him and talking to him more had actually kept me awake last night.

I thought about how giddy he made me feel, and how the tension between us was beginning to build. I can only hope that he feels the way that I do.

"Awesome! Much better guys!" Nikki said when the song ended.

...

Rehearsals had started later in the day, so after the first 2 hours had passed the evening was approaching.

When Nikki had asked me to come yesterday, I was just so excited to see him again that I didn't think about how long this was gonna be.

Not to mention boring too. Don't get me wrong I love watching Nikki, but having to watch them repeat the same thing over and over again was repetitive.

I would try to entertain myself by texting with Ben and Rose, or taking multiple coffee breaks, but there was only so much I could do in this one place.

When I had gotten back from my most recent coffee break I had noticed a towel around Nikki's neck and beads of sweat lining his forehead. There was a sight I could get used to.

He wasn't the only one though. Everyone in the band was starting to look run down and tired. Maybe this was a sign rehearsals would be over soon, or at the very least a break.

They were finishing up Kickstart my Heart which was one of there encore numbers, and at this point they were begging to loose the enthusiasm they had at the beginning of the rehearsal.

"That was great guys! Good progress so far!" The stage manager says "what do you guys say? Quick dinner break then start back up in an hour?"

I sit up at the sound of this. I wonder if Nikki has dinner plans.
