Chapter 39: 1736

The anticipation was killing me as I sat on the plane.

I just wanted to land, once I landed I knew what I was gonna do. Otherwise right now I have no idea.

I left without telling anyone where I was going, in part to run away from Jonathan, but still.

My first priority is to see Nikki, I'll deal with everything else later.

I twiddled with my thumbs as I thought through how this was gonna go.

I would have to get a taxi or something to the hotel, luckily my dad had sent me their tour dates and schedule a while back so I knew where they were staying.

My leg was shaking as I looked anxiously out the window. I was reciting Nikki's letter in my head.

I don't know how. But we were going to make things work.

Thank god I was traveling with a carry-on so I didn't have to wait with all the other passengers for my bag.

I knew they had a show today, so I needed to get to the hotel quick to catch Nikki in time.

Even though I had no idea what I was gonna say.

I race out of the airport to try and find a taxi of some sort. I don't know any Italian so this will be interesting.

I find a help desk and am finally able to communicate that I need to find a taxi, as well as the hotel I'm going to.

My heart was beating so loud during the drive.

I leaned my head back on the seat and took deep breaths trying not to freak out, when my phone rang.

I sighed and looked down at the caller ID immediately seeing Rose's name.

"Shit" I mutter before answering.

"Hello" I say timidly.

"Where the hell did you go?" Rose yells "Johnathan says you got on another flight!"

"It's Nikki, Rose" I say "I just- I just have to see him."

"You really wanna give him another chance?" She asks.

I suck in a breath "I have to try."

"I just thought you were moving past it" she breaths.

"I wanted to" I say looking out the window "but no one will ever compare to him."

"Well if that's how you feel, I just thought maybe if you started dating someone else-"

"Rose I have to tell you something" I say remembering every stunt Johnathan had pulled on me.

She pauses "what?"

"Are you alone?" I ask

"Yes" she says "why?"

"It's about Johnathan." I say "Ben needs to end things with him. He's a snake."

"What do you mean?" she asks.

"Just trust me." I say not wanting to go into detail.

"Did he say something to you at the airport?" Rose asks.

I sigh "he just doesn't have Ben's best interest at heart."

"I don't know what to say" she huffs.

"Just have fun in Amsterdam and have Ben's back." I say "I'll let you know how things go over here."

"It's gonna be hard to have fun without you." She says "but we'll try."

"You're the best Rose" I say "thank you for not being mad."
