Jayson's POV
It's decides then,I'm going to spend a month in UAE. Maybe I'll finally get over the awful being that is Emily Grave. She is not worth my tears. Nope...she isn't.
I leave the office and head for my house to start packing for my very much needed trip. I dial Gabrielle's number to tell her about my decision.
"Hey Jay. What's up?"she chirps
"I'm good. You?"
"I'm great. Have you heard the good news?"
"About? I say shocked
"Jake" she squeals
"No. No I haven't. What's happening?"
"He said there's a possibility he'll be moving back to Los Angeles in some months and he'll stay for about a year" she says excitedly
"Really? That's great. It's been so long since he has settled in one place. I've really missed hanging out with my younger brother"
"I've missed him too"
"Anyways, I have my own good news"I say
"What is it?"
"I'm going to UAE for my vacation"
"Oh my gosh! You're really going?" She says "This day just keeps getting better"
"Yup. I've decided that I'm not going to let some unfortunate soul ruin my life. Who knows,maybe I'll find a new girl there"
"I admire your positivity" she says sarcastically
"F you sis. I've gotta go now. Time to pack"
"When are you leaving?"
"In two days"
"Alright then, maybe we'll catch up before then. Bye now" she says hanging up
I drive home, eat, take a nap and begin to pack my stuff. I call Matthew telling him to call the president informing her I'll be coming for the meeting. I then call my dad who I hadn't spoken to in two months
"Good evening dad" I say in a low tone
"Jayson my boy. It's been long. How are you?" He says as cheerful as ever
"I'm good. Well I'm better "
"Don't worry boy, this will be over soon. She isn't worth you"
"I know. She isn't. Uhhm...dad,I'm travelling in two days"
"Where to my boy?"
"UAE" I respond
"Where exactly?"
"Abu Dhabi"
"Oh...for the meeting. I haven't been able to go for it. I've been as busy as a bee"
"The meeting and I also need some time alone to think about my life"
"I think it's a great idea but wasn't the two months enough" he says trying to lighten the mood
"Haha! Very funny dad. But do you really think it is a good idea?"
