Chapter Thirty Two

Karina's POV

Two months had passed since the unfaithful incident. My life became sad. Everyday, I cried. I cried hard every single day. I almost got married but I didn't. I almost got killed. It was all because of her. She almost shot me. She shot my Jayson... My Jayson! We could have been married but she didn't let us. Why Emily?! Why did you have to do this to me!?

Two months passed and everyday for those two months, I visited Jayson in the hospital but he hadn't woken up for the two months but he was stable. The doctors said he could have died if we hadn't brought him in early enough. The bullet penetrated very close to his spine. Ethan woke up about a month and a half after the incident. Apparently, he too was lucky because he was shot in the chest. Everyday I sat beside Jayson and just spoke to him hoping he could hear me.

"Jayson my love. Please wake up. I miss you." I said to him

"Is that so..." I heard a very low voice say. I looked at the bed and saw his eyes open and a little smile on his face

"Jaysonnnnn!!!" I screamed as I leaned to hug him

"Ouch!! Gun wound! Gun wound!" He exclaimed in pain

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry"

"It's fine."

"Let me go and get the doctor" I said leaving the room in a hurry. The doctor went in and told me that I should wait outside while he checked on Jayson. Some minutes later he came out

"Well Miss Foxwell, I think you should thank God because him waking up just after two months is a miracle. With that gunshot,he is supposed to be dead. I'll advise that you go and return tomorrow. He needs some rest"

"Okay doctor" I said as I turned and exited the hospital.

The next day, I went back to see Jayson in the afternoon. He loomed a lot better. He could sit up and talk normally. I felt so happy seeing him again. I put on a short a line peach long sleeved dress and a pair of sandals. My hair was packed in a messy bun and on my face, I had nothing on except a pink lip gloss.

"Hey babe" he said when he saw me. Hearing him talk with that husky voice of his made me grin from ear to ear

"Hi" I said planting a kiss on his lips" how are you feeling now?"I asked

"A lot better actually, but the place I was shot still hurts a bit but besides that, I'm fine"

"That's great"

"So I hear I was unconscious for two months?"

"Yeah"

"Wow! So long?"

"Uhun!"

"That's crazy. What of Ethan? Is he okay?"

" he's fine. Luckily,the bullet didn't reach his heart"

"Whew! That day was really tragic"

"You're telling me? I almost lost my fiancé and I almost lost my life"

"What do you mean?"

"After you took the first bullet, she wanted to shoot again but Kim was quicker and shot Emily in the arm...twice"

"Oh yeah! I remember but I was already almost unconscious then. Speaking of Emily, what later happened to her?" He asked
