Jayson's POV
I can't believe she accepted. I mean I wanted her to accept, but I didn't think she would. That means, she still has feelings for me. That made me very happy. Just knowing that she still had feelings for me brought some sort of peace to my heart. After we had that mind blowing kiss, she went back to her hotel suite while I went home to gather my proof. I left Rihanna in charge of the office and she was happy to run the company because she knew I really loved Karina. I got home and began making calls and doing some research and I finally figured out how I was going to prove my innocence to Karina. By seven o'clock, my door bell rang...she came! I was wearing a pair of navy blue chino trouser and a white long sleeve button up shirt. My hair was combed neatly and my black suede shoes were clean. Karina looked pretty as always. She wore a short a line purple lace dress and a pair of black heels. Her hair was left down and she held a small black purse.
"Hey" she said awkwardly
"Wow! You look amazing" I said meaning every word
'Thank you. Can I come in?"she said
"No"
"What?"
"I mean...no because we are going out for dinner"
"I thought we were eating here?"
"Well,there's been a change of plans. We are going out. Come on let's go" I said stepping out of the house and shutting the door.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see" I said opening the passenger door for her before running round the car to the driver's seat. The car ride was quiet and awkward. I could almost hear her ask herself "What am I doing here?". I just couldn't wait for us to get there so I could just end this whole Emily thing. After about forty five minutes of driving, we finally arrived at the place
" Why did you bring me here?"she said already flaring up
"Calm down. This is where you are going to see the proof."
"Really?... Here?...where the problem started?" She said
"Yes. I pulled some strings and now, I have a way to prove my innocence. So... Shall we go in?"
"Uhhm...sure... if you can prove what you've been saying"she said and we both came down from the car and walked into the hotel where Merida got married
" So what now? You want to take me to the room where the both of you had sex? Or what?"
"No. We are going to see the video footage."
"What? I don't want to see you having sex...again"
"Just come with me" I said taking her to where the security guys watch what's happening in the hotel
"Yo Steve" I said to one of the security guys
"Jayson my man. What's up?"he responded
"I'm good. Steve, this is Karina and Karina, this is Steve"
"Hi. Nice to meet you." Steve said stretching his hand out for a hand shake
"Likewise" she said accepting the shake
"So Steve, you have what I asked for?"
"Yup! Room security footage from six months ago. It was hard but I got it."
"Thanks! Can you please excuse us. We want to watch something and I'm pretty sure you will not want to see it."
"Okay. I'll take my leave then. When you are done justmlet me know okay?"
"Okay. No problem. Thanks man" I said and he left
"So, you want me to see the both of you have sex"
"No, we'll skip that part...unless you want to see it?"
"Eew! Of course not"
"Okay, here it goes" I said playing the record
The video showed the empty room for about five minutes before showing me entering. I stripped leaving me in only my briefs before laying on the bed. Minutes later, it showed Emily walking in slowly and then we started talking. Good thing the video had audio so Karina could boldly hear me when I called Emily Karina. Even I didn't know that happened... That drug really worked. It showed us talking and then we started kissing
"Please skip this part"Karina said
"Okay" I said pushing the fast forward button. It moved and when It got to the part where I woke up, I pressed the play button. The video continued and everything Emily said, we could hear. And then finally, Emily confessed that she had drugged me and I could see the shock on Karina's face. The video continued playing and it got to the part where I confessed my love for Karina only. I looked at Karina and her cheeks were apple red.
"You can turn it off" she said
"Okay" I said turning it off "Do you now see that it's you I love. I told you that I would never cheat on you and definitely not with Emily. It's you I love Karry"I said using my right hand to caress her cheek
" Jayson... I don't know what to say...I'm so sorry "she said with her head facing down
"Don't apologise. I understand. If I were in your shoes, I would probably do the same thing."
"I'm sorry. I didn't believe you. I didn't listen to you. I let my anger get the best of me. I let my anger break us up"
"It's fine. At least now you know what truly happened and we can put this behind us."
"So, do you forgive me?"
"There's nothing to forgive Karina. I love you and that is all that matters."
"Thank you. I love you with all my heart Jayson. Those six months without you were awful"
"Same here"I said
"So does this mean we are back together?"
"Uhhm...that's up to you baby"I said "it depends on you because it was you who..." I couldn't finish my statement because she grabbed my shirt and gave me a very nice kiss. My hands went to her waist and her hands went to my hair. I loved it. It was soft and passionate. We kissed as if it was just the two of us in the world. I missed that. After the kiss, we had dinner before I took her back to her suite and went to my house and just like that, we were back together...
Best day ever!
