Let us lie,
Beneath the stormy clouds,
Heavy with silver tears,
On the dead grass.

Let us breathe,
In the sorrows of others,
And inhale our torturous pain,
Through smoke and cigarettes.

Let us feel,
The ember and garnet leaves fall,
From the deciduous trees,
Bequeathing to the Earth.

Let us hope,
For the unrealistic,
And the unachievable,
Lying safely in each other's arms.

Let us love,
Staring into each other's eyes,
Holding hands,
Watching the sky go up in flames.

Let us grow,
But we'll stay young forever,
And sneak out of the window,
Into a forbidden world.
