Never Ours

Just like your love,
I'll fall apart,
Thinking back to when,
It was easier at the start.

Maybe it could've,
Ended differently,
Love so unrequited,
Even death lost its beauty.

And the handles,
Will mark the hour,
Knowing what we had,
Was never ours.

I'll no longer,
Write poetry in the stars,
Because what is love to me now,
When it was never ours?

Sorry for the late update (honestly you should be used to it by now 😂), I've learnt that I should never underestimate my laziness combined with my ability to procrastinate.
