Romance in Death

I always used to wonder,
How different love is from hate,
But it's two sides of the same knife,
Which you drove through my veins.

A wound so deep,
It caused a gaping hole,
Which I can never fill,
And I can never control.

What is love to me,
When I'm no longer here,
After leaving so silently,
Without a whisper in your ear.

A romance so abandoned,
Adorned in cobwebs and death,
I'm buried under the ground,
With how you took away my breath.

And I'll approach you,
And you'll constrict in your chest,
And you'll never run far enough,
Because I won't part you in death.

A romance like ours,
Is like a game of chess,
And you took out my king,
It's Romance in Death.
