Mel dropped her spoon as it fell to the floor with a clang. "What?! I don't have any siblings..." Mel muttered. Talon grinned. "Well you have me..." Talon extended his arms into a hug. Mel suddenly felt warm. 'It feels so nice and welcoming.... Is this what a family is like?' Mel quickly smelled Talon's warm body. 'It smells familiar, just like-' Then it came to her. When she was being taken away by Anilea. Mel pushed Talon away. "Get away from me, this is a trap and I know it!" Talon grinned. "Oh, Melania, you're so smart, you know that?" Mel frowned. "You're such a monster, tricking me into a warm safe environment.... I'll destroy you!" Mel's ears sprouted and ran away- at a super fast speed. "I have.... super speed!?" Mel exclaimed. "Smell ya later, sad excuse for a brother!" Mel shouted.
"Why you-!" Talon pulled out his weapon and ran after Mel. Mel looked behind. "Oh no!" Mel tried to run as fast as her little legs could carry, but Talon started shooting and a loud siren sounded. Bullets whizzed past Mel and one clipped her shoulder. Mel winced at the pain and tried to still run. Then she fell. Talon hovered over her and put the gun to her head. "You little pest, you think you can escape me? To me you're a naïve little piece of shit, and you're going to die. Mel just closed her eyes. She was useless.She was going to die without anyone she loved to save her.
BAM.BAM.
Two hours before.
Emeri looked next to her, and the brigade member was dead, with the metal pipe next to him, covered in blood. Then she looked up. The brigade members had fled, and Emeri saw a silhouette on the roof. "Who is that...?" As soon as Emeri sprouted up her wings and went up 2 feet, the shadow hopped up and disappeared. Emeri hovered. "Who was that person....? Whoever they are, thank you."
When Emeri walked in, Anna looked like she was about to leave. "Anna... where are you going?" Anna took a deep sigh. "I received a faint pinpoint to Mel's location. And... it's in France." Emeri gasped and grabbed Anna's arm. "You can't go...." Emeri felt Anna's fist clench and yanked her arm away. " We need to find Mel! I'm not just going to let her die alone with sick monsters!" Anna shouted and tears slipped down her cheeks. Emeri, silent, let go of her hand. "Fine, go, but I don't care if anything happens to you from now on...." SLAP! Emeri fell to the floor after Anna placed a swift slap across her face. "I'm leaving." Anna walked out the door and slammed it. Emeri gritted her teeth. "....I hate you." She muttered under her breath.
Mel gasped then screamed in pain. One bullet ripped through her chest, but the other one hit Talon. "You do not try to kill the experiments Talon!" Talon held onto his shoulder Mel looked behind and froze in fear. ...It was her mother and Clyde.
