Chapter Eighteen: Monkey

Third Person's POV

"Talk, Lisa. I know something is bothering you." Jennie first voiced

Lisa just kept her mouth shut.

"Lisa, talk to me. Why are acting like this? Tell me because it's killing me." Jennie begged

"I don't know. I shouldn't be acting like this and it makes me more confused and all." Lisa spoke for the first time since they sat on the bench in Kim's garden

Jennie placed her hand over Lisa's lap "Tell me what are you feeling right now."

"I'm terrified." Lisa shortly replied

"Terrified of what? Of whom? Why? Did I do something that made you feel that way?" Jennie asked, worried that she unintentionally hurt her partner

"It terrifies me when I saw you smiling while watching Gab and Kai, it makes me think that maybe Kai is the right person for you and you'll realize that I'm not the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. It scares the hell out of me when I heard Gab calling Kai her daddy. I'm jealous, I'm terrified and I don't know if I should feel this way." Tears trickled down to Lisa's face "I love you and Gab so much and I'm terrified to lose you."

Jennie's shaky hands reached for Lisa's face and gently wiped her tears away using her thumbs "I'll tell you this, I was smiling not because of their moment, I was smiling because of Gab only, Gab was happy so was I. You don't have to be scared because..." She held Lisa's hand, guided it, and placed it on her chest "You're here already and I don't have plans on removing you. You're the right person for me and nothing and no one can change that. I want you to understand that Kai once became part of Gab's life, we cannot just take that away from our daughter."

"You won't leave me, right?" That was the only thing that Lisa wants to have an answer

"We won't leave you." Jennie said with so much assurance in her voice "How could we leave a precious person like you? My life will never be the same anymore without you."

Lisa smiled and nodded "That's the only thing I want to hear from you." She also guided Jennie's hand and placed it on her chest "I also want to tell you that you, Gab, and Venus are the only people that are in here."

"Mommy?" Sleepy Gab walked into the garden "Why are you two here?" She asked while rubbing her eyes to wake herself up

"Your mommy Lisa and I are just talking." Jennie answered her daughter

Gab sat in between them "Talking about what?"

Lisa suppressed her laughter at how their daughter acts like an adult.

"We're talking about adult stuff. Why are you still awake little monster?" Lisa was the one who answered the child

"I woke up without you two beside me." Gab pouted "I was about to cry but I remembered mommy Jen saying that I am a big girl now and I should be brave."

After their little family talk, they went back to the living room and lay down on my comforters.

"Excuse me, ma'am. Someone asked to talk to you." Tzuyu peeked her head inside her boss' office and slowly entered

"Is it Lisa? Tell her that she doesn't have to ask permission. She is delulu or something?"

"It's not Ms.Lisa, ma'am. Someone named Kai."

'What is it this time? Is he not tired of this?'

"Tell him to wait for me in the waiting area."

Tzuyu nodded and exited the office.

Jennie waited for ten minutes before she got up from her swivel chair. Testing Kai's patience.

Before she can touch the doorknob someone knocked that made her slightly startled.

"Lisa. Geez, you startled me." She said as soon as she saw the person behind the door

"Sorry, I didn't know that you're standing there. Uh, Kai is there waiting for you. What's up?" Lisa's frowning while looking in the direction of Kai

"I don't know. He just went here without an appointment." Jennie placed her hands over Lisa's shoulders and made it to look at her "You jealous again?"

"Maybe? I just don't like him lingering around you. I don't trust him a bit."

Lisa didn't expect the next thing that Jennie did.
Jennie pressed her lips to Lisa's. Slowly she moved her lips, giving Lisa a high feeling.
Lisa kissed back, softly and delicately. Before things can be more heated, Jennie pulled away from their heated make-out in front of her office.

"Is that enough for you to feel cool while I talk to the monkey waiting for me?"

Lisa chuckled at the nickname that Jennie gave to Kai while wiping the smudged lipstick below Jennie's lip "Make it fast."

Jennie bites her lower lip, glancing at Lisa's lips, tempting to kiss them again.

"Nini, as much as I want you all over me, someone is waiting for you and I want that to end now."

Jennie kissed Lisa's lips again for five seconds before saying "We will continue this later." With that, she winked and started walked away from her lover

"Kai, what brings you here?"

Kai stood up "Jen, I thought you would make me wait here for hours. I want to talk if it's okay?"

Jennie sighed "Do I have a choice?" She sat down "You have five minutes."

Kai sat again "I want to make peace with you, Jen."

"You what?" Jennie didn't expect that from Kai

"I see that you're happy now, as long as you're happy I am okay with that. If she makes you happy then so be it."

"Tell me the 'but'." Jennie knows her ex so well

"But let me see Gab just once a week."

"No. Hell no. Gab is not your real daughter and you don't have the right to ask for that stupid visitation."

"But Gab is not your real daughter neither, Jen. She's not blood-related to you. Stop acting like you own Gab."

Jennie's blood boiled "Gab is my daughter. In papers she's my daughter, not by blood but in my heart she's my child. How dare you to question my relationship with my daughter!" Jennie's voice rises "Get out!" She stood up

"Jen it wasn't my intention to..."

"Get out! I said get out!" Jennie shouted, pointing at the door "I don't want to see your face again!"

Kai stood up "I'm sorry."
