Chapter Twenty-Seven: Where is Venus?

Third Person's POV

"But what?!" Lisa stood up "Venus is alive? How? They said that she's dead! She died in that car accident!" Lisa exclaimed

"But someone took her." Hanbin cast down his head "Your daughter is not dead. Your father made you all believe that Venus is dead."

Jennie held Lisa's hand "Sit down, babe. Let's listen to him."

Lisa obliged "I'm sorry, babe. It's Venus who is we are talking about here."

"I know, babe and I understand but you need to calm down, okay?" Jennie kissed Lisa's lips "Calm down."

Lisa closed her eyes for a brief second before she looked at Hanbin again "Tell me everything from the beginning to end."

"Just like what I've said, your father made you all believe that Venus is dead, I don't know why but he did that, then one day, your father knocked on my door with Venus in his arms, saying that..that baby is my daughter."

Lisa gasped "H...how? I mean.. you're the father of Venus?"

"There is a big possibility that I am the father since I was the one who..."

"First took advantage of her." Jennie intruded "Am I right, brother?"

"Yes." Hanbin's tears started to trickle down "I was under the influence of drugs, I don't know what I was doing. Forgive me."

"I thought you are better than our father. You are worse than him." Jennie said in full of disappointment

"I'm sorry." Hanbin apologized again "I took care of Venus until one day two men wearing masks took him. We're roaming around the neighborhood then suddenly they pointed a gun at my head, I was so afraid not only for my life but also for Venus. They took her but things are still confusing me." Hanbin stopped and looked at Lisa "What did they do with Venus? Why Venus? And who are they?"

Lisa bite her lower lip, thinking and absorbing all the information that Hanbin has said "Someone that might know you or Venus or my dad. Someone who has the knowledge about your whereabouts."

"I hope they didn't do anything bad to Venus." Jennie voiced

"I'm sure she's still alive because one of the men said that he won't hurt the baby." Hanbin added, "I think they took Venus for a purpose, a good purpose."

"I really hope so." Lisa said "My Venus is alive. God, thank you!" She finally fully realized that her daughter is still alive, she cupped her girlfriend's face "My daughter is alive, babe!"

Jennie can't help but smile, seeing her girlfriend in so much bliss "We'll find her, babe."

"How? And where you will start?" Hanbin asked the two

Lisa and Jennie fell into silence.

"Hanbin is right, where we will start, babe?" Jennie asked her girlfriend "That was years ago."

Lisa snapped her fingers "I know where to start. Babe, you remember before we go inside the subdivision? The guards asked for our name and asked about our agenda here in the subdivision. I just hope that they kept their old files."

Jennie and Lisa went to their room and made ready for bed.

"I miss our daughter, babe. Gab surely missing us." Lisa said to Jennie while the latter is combing her hair

"I miss her too, babe. Let's call mom?" Jennie suggested

"Please." Lisa said, "I'll get your phone." Lisa stood up from the bed and get Jennie's phone from her bag "Here." She said after getting the phone and went back to her former place

"Thanks, babe." Jennie then dialed her mom's phone number

"Jennie." Mrs. Kim voiced "Let me guess, you miss your princess?"

"Yes, mom. Lisa requested to call her baby Gab. We miss her."

"Just a second, she's playing with your unnie and Nathan, I'll give the phone to her." 

Moments later, Gab spoke "Mommy?"

Jennie put the phone on the loudspeaker "Hello, Gab. We miss you, baby."

"I miss you too, mommy. Where is mommy Lisa?"

"I'm here, baby." Lisa smiled, hearing Gab's voice "Are you behaving well there?"

"Of course, mommy. Are you okay, mommy? I'm worried about you, go home, please? I want to see you again."

Lisa looked at Jennie "Mommy and mommy Jennie needs to do something in here first then we'll go home, okay?"

"But how long, mommy?"

"We don't know really, Gab."

"But I wanna see you two." Gab is about to cry "Don't you love me anymore?"

"Of course we love you, Gab. How about I'll tell you some good news?"

"You're going to tell her?" Jennie whispered to Lisa

"Trust me." She kissed Jennie's nose

"What is it, mommy?"

"How about we go to Disney Land when we go home? Are you okay with that?"

"Really?! Disney Land? Yes, mommy!" Gab is happy again

Lisa giggled, success in making her daughter happy "Yes, Gab. Disney Land but for now wait for us, okay?"

"Yes, mommy." Gab yawned "I think it's time for me to go to bed." She giggled

"I love you, Gab." Jennie said, missing her daughter

"I love you, baby Gabby."

"Sorry, miss but someone burned our storage room years ago."

"Burned? You mean everything in your records years ago went to ash?" Lisa asked the secretary of the subdivision

"You're right, miss. We're sorry and even if we still have the records, we can't show them to you, miss. That's confidential."

Lisa is pissed "Do you know who I am, miss? I am Lalisa Manoban. Did you hear that? The only daughter of Marco Manoban."

This is the only instance that Lisa used the power of being a Manoban.

The secretary looked at her in horror "I am so sorry, miss."

"Babe, calm down. What is happening to you?" Jennie whispered to her

"I just wanna see my daughter, babe." Lisa answered

Then something caught Lisa's attention in the corner of the office.

"Miss is there a possible way that you still have the records of your CCTV cameras?"

"Yes, miss. Give me the date so that we can find what you are looking for."

They went to a room where all their records of CCTV cameras are stored.

Jennie said the date to the secretary.

"These are all the records of the CCTV cameras in every street but the street you mentioned is missing."

"Damn it! They really made sure that I can't find a single trace of them." Lisa cursed

"Uhm, miss. How about the CCTV camera at your gate? Where you can see all the cars going in and out of the subdivision?" Jennie asked

"It's still here, miss." The secretary answered

"Let's see it." Lisa said

They watched patiently until Lisa saw a familiar car. She can't be mistaken. She knows the owner of that car.

"Why?" Lisa unconsciously said, "Damn it."

She fetched her phone from her pocket and dialed someone.

"You better answer my question before I forget that you are my brother! Where is Venus, Bam?"
