Chapter Twenty-Five: Past IV

Third Person's POV

"How is she?"

"She's responding great but it will take days before she will wake up." The doctor answered Marco

"How about my niece, doc? Is she alright? Can we see her now?" Bambam eagerly asked question after question

"The baby is alright. I must say that it was a miracle that she survived."

After their talk to the doctor, Marco pulled Bambam outside the office.

"We need to tell your sister that Venus is dead." Marco said to Bambam

"What?! Hell no! Why would you do that? Do you really want to kill my sister? Venus is her life! That baby gave a new life to my sister!" Bambam is completely against his father

"I don't have time to argue with you, Bam! You'll do what I said or you'll get nothing from me."

Lisa woke up days after the accident. It was Venus who first came to her mind the moment she gained her consciousness.

Marco and Bam also made Adeline believe that the poor angel is dead.

"Where is my baby, mom? Is she alright?" Lisa asked her mom but her mom didn't answer her, instead, the woman just cried

"Why are you crying, mom? Where is my Venus? Bring her to me, mom! Bring my Venus to me." Lisa cried also "My Venus, where is she?"

"I'm sorry, Lis. Venus didn't make it. Your daughter is gone." Adeline almost choke in the last word she said

"No! My daughter is alive! She's not dead! I want to see her mom! Bring her to me!" Lisa shouted, she tried to sit up but her body was too weak "I want to see my daughter!"

Bambam and Marco heard the commotion inside Lisa's room which is why they immediately went inside.

"Bam! Tell me my daughter is not dead! My Venus is alive, right? Tell me, Bam..."

Bam can't look at her sister in the eyes, he hangs his head low and said, "I'm so sorry, noona." He's not sorry for Lisa's loss but for lying to her

"This is your fault!" Lisa shouted to her father "Can your reputation bring back the life of my daughter?! You... you killed my daughter!"

Despite being a cold-hearted person, Marco got hurt from the things he heard from his own daughter.

"Where are going to bring my niece, dad? Can I have her instead? I will take care of her."

Marco is holding Venus in his mind. He unconsciously smiles while staring at the little angel.

"I'm not stupid, Bam. I don't want you to bring Venus back to your sister." Marco sighed "I'm going to bring her to her father."

"What?" Bambam stared at his father in disbelief "What are you talking about?"

The car stopped in front of the Manoban's Mansion.

"Get out. Remember what I told you, Bam. You'll get nothing from me if you tell your sister all of these." Marco reminded his son

Bam gritted his teeth in anger. He can't do anything. He can't forsake his future.

After they dropped Bam at their mansion, Marco and Mr. Chu went to the house of their prisoner.

"Mr. Manoban, wh..what are you doing here?" Hanbin is nervous to see the killer of his friends

"Relax, I'm not going to kill you. I want you to take care of your daughter." Marco looked at the baby in his arm "There is a big possibility that you're the father of my daughter's daughter."

Hanbin looked at the angel "Is that really my... wait, how about your daughter? She should be the one who should be taking care of that baby."

"Mr. Chu will explain everything to you." With that, he gave Venus to his father

Marco left Mr. Chu with Hanbin to explain the whole situation to him.

"I can't believe he can do this to his own daughter." Hanbin said, "I can't imagine the pain she's experiencing right now."

"I can't disagree with you. Take care of that angel. Marco still feels love for that child, instead of giving that child to the orphanage like the original plan, he gave her to you because he knows that you will take care of her."

Months passed, Lisa is still mourning for her dead daughter and Hanbin is enjoying his time with his daughter.

"You're so precious, little Venus." Hanbin cooed to his daughter before he sat her in her stroller "You comfortable with your position, buddy?" He asked as if Venus can answer her

After locking the safety belt of Venus, they started to roam around their neighborhood.

"Hold up. Give that baby to me if you don't want us to blow up your head." Someone pointed a gun at Hanbin's head

"Sir, please. Not my daughter, I can give you money or anything but not my daughter." Hanbin begged

"Get the baby." The person pointing a gun to Hanbin ordered to his companion

Hanbin closed his eyes. Fearing for his life and his daughter.

"Please, don't take my daughter. Please."

"Don't worry, man. I won't hurt that baby." With that, they rode their getaway car

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Chu! They pointed a gun at me and I was afraid that they might hurt Venus too."

Mr. Chu punched Hanbin in the face "You're so stupid!"

Hanbin kneeled in front of him "Please, don't tell Mr. Manoban about this. He will kill me."

Mr. Chu sighed "I won't tell him, I don't want him to kill another person." He pulled Hanbin up

"What should we do, Mr. Chu? I need to find my daughter."

"We can't. If we make a move, the boss will definitely find out."

"Noona?"

Lisa immediately brushed her tears away and hid the picture of her daughter "Bam, what are you doing here?"

"I'm just checking if you're okay. Why don't you just stay at my house? There, I can take care of you." He sat on Lisa's bed

"I want to be alone, Bam. Let me mourn."

"It's been months, noona. Venus won't like seeing you like this."

"Venus is not here anymore, Bam. My daughter is not here to make me happy." Tears trickled down to her face again
