Chapter Thirty-Four: I owned Kai

TP POV

"Are you sure about that?"

After Bambam received the picture of the letter from his investigator, he immediately called his sister to come to his house to personally talk to her about the letter.

"Yes, noona. Here, I will read what is written on the paper that Mr. Chu gave to my investigator.."

"Lisa and Bam, I know that you already know that it was me who gave the information about Hanbin to Kai, that I am the traitor. Forgive me, my own family is in danger. Kai kidnapped my whole family. He's holding them in a house near the subdivision where I kept Hanbin. Please, save my family so that I can go back to your side. Don't worry, I didn't tell him everything, just the information that Hanbin is alive. I'm counting on you two. Below is the contact number of the person you can ask for help."

"That's insane. Have you contacted the person that Mr. Chu wrote there?" Lisa snatched the cellphone of Bam from his hand, looking at the picture of the letter that the investigator sent "Wait.. he wants to contact mother?"

"That's the thing that I can't understand, noona. Why he wants us to ask for help from mother? Does mom knows about all the doings of father?"

Lisa frowned, looking intently at name of her mother written in the letter "You think so? Mom never told us about her being involved with father's works."

"Mommy is the only one who can answer our questions. Why don't we call her?" Bambam suggested

"Are you sure this letter is from Mr. Chu? What if this is just a trap so that mom will know all the things we are doing so that mom will stop us. You know how overprotective mom is."

"I'm sure, noona. I went to daddy's office before I called you, there are some papers there with Mr. Chu's writing, and his penmanship matched with the letter that my investigator sent. Just call, mom now."

"I think you don't have to call me, I'm here to answer all your questions." Adeline suddenly appeared at the door "Can you give mommy a hug first? I missed seeing you two together."

Lisa and Bambam exchange looks first before they stood up and hugged their mother.

Adeline closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the hug for her children. It's been a long time since the last time she felt that feeling.

"For now, give your old woman some rest to have some energy because I have so much explanation to do."

The two laughed, their mother never changed, she can still make them laugh easily.

"Do you think we should tell mom that... I'm the real father of Gab?"

Jennie looked at her mother who is sleeping on V's hospital bed with Gab, her mother must be very tired "We don't really have to, I don't want other people to know the truth. Gab is my daughter now, it doesn't matter if mom knows the truth or not because she's treating Gab as her own granddaughter, that's all that matters to me."

"Why are you so afraid of telling the truth?" Hanbin questioned, "What makes you afraid, Jen?"

"Because I'm afraid that Gab might know the truth, if she finds out that you are her real father she might change the way she looks at me, Gab is everything to me. I don't want to confuse her more, she had a hard time accepting Lisa as he biological mother." Jennie fixed her eyes to her brother "She's mine now, she's our daughter now and no one else can claim her."

Hanbin sighed, nodding his head "I understand but I want you to know that Lisa talked to me about that and.."

"Yeah, I know that you surrendered all your rights as her father but you can't take away from me the fear I am feeling right now."

Hanbin sighed "Okay. By the way, why did Lisa leave?"

"Her brother called her for something important that is why Bambam dropped Gab here but Lisa said that she will inform us about their talk as soon as she gets here. Brother, can I ask you something? You met Lisa's father, right?" Hanbin nodded "Can you tell me about him?"

"I only met him twice, when he abducted me and when he gave Venus to me. To my observation, he's not really that bad of a person, somethings just provoked him to do bad things, just like what we did to Lisa, he killed my friends because we wrong his daughter. He's not a bad person at all, that's all I can say."

"I was just wondering because Lisa never really talked about him."

"Maybe because of what he did to Venus, making Lisa believe that Venus is dead, if I was in Lisa's situation, I wouldn't want to remember the person who did such cruel things to me."

"Plus, he wanted to send Venus to orphanage making Lisa runaway." Jennie added "Lisa went through a lot, I wish everything that makes her stress will end soon. I don't know anymore how to make her feel better."

"Just don't leave her that will be enough for her."

"Before I start, I want you to know first that I did all of these to protect you two." Adeline began

The siblings are waiting for their mother to continue. They are now in the living room of Bambam's house.

"I want to start by saying that your father was a good person."

Lisa scoffs.

"Believe me, Lisa. Your father was a good person, I married him because I know he will be a great husband and father but things changed when his company started to grow, making his own name, he became obsessed with his reputation to the public. His company and work are clean, nothing illegal, the only thing that he did wrong was he murdered Lisa's rapists."

"Wait, you knew all these shits all this time?"

"Watch your language, Lisa. To answer all your questions, yes."

"Then why you didn't tell us, mom?" Bam asked

"Because I want to keep you safe. The less you know about it, the less chance you will be in danger. You two are our treasures that were why your father was beyond mad when he found out that Lisa got raped. I know where he held your rapists, the same place where he tortured them, killing them slowly. I know all of these because Mr. Chu was also reporting to me. Trust me, I was so tempted to say all of these to you especially to you, Lisa but I was afraid that you will disown your father. After your father died, he passed all of his assets to me because he knows that Lisa will never take them and Bambam was too young to take over."

"Wait, wait, wait.." Lisa said, frowning because of confusion "I thought he passed the company to his brother?"

"That was the original plan but I know how important the company was to your father.."

"Very important. More important than his grandchild." Lisa chuckled bitterly

Adeline sighed "That is why I volunteered to take over the company."

"So it means that.." Bambam trailed off

"It means that I am the boss now and I owned Kai."
