Chapter Thrity-Five: Permission

Third Person's POV

"You what?!"

"I told you I have so much explanation to do. When I became the CEO, I did all the best and greatest things to make the company more successful."

"But Mr. Chu said that you hardly making it to the top." Lisa questioned

"That was what I told him because I know someday he will betray me. He betrayed your father when he started reporting to me and I know he will do the same to me. So I was saying that, our company's network tripled within the past years and I was able to buy some of our competitors' company.."

"You bought Kai's company." Lisa finished

"Yes, before Kai's father gave the company to his son Kai, he sold his company to me."

Bambam frowned "Then why Kai still have the company?"

"Because I just don't want to. I have no one to run that company so I told the old Mr. Kim that I will take it whenever I have someone who I can entrust the company to."

"Wow. Is Kai aware that the company he's running is actually a Manoban's possession now?" Lisa asked

"No, he doesn't and I think it's time for you Lisa to get what is truly yours." Adeline plastered an encouraging smile at her daughter

"What is mine? What do you mean, mom?"

"I bought that company under your name. You owned that company so let me rephrase what I said earlier, you Lisa, you owned Kai."

"Hi, babe." Lisa kissed Jennie's lips "I missed you." She then hugged the kitten, inhaling the fruity scent of Jennie

"I missed you too, babe." Jennie giggled "Maybe you forgot that Gab is between us."

"I'm here, mommy. Don't you miss me too?" Gab also giggled while hugging Lisa's legs

Lisa released Jennie from the hug and crouched down to talk to Gab "Of course I missed you too, baby girl."

"Are you going to fetch us, mommy? Mommy Jennie hasn't slept well since we got here."

Lisa looked up at her girlfriend then back to Gab "Actually, your uncle Bam is here to fetch you only, hospital is not a good environment for you. I'm sorry if I can't spend more time with you, there are just so much happening right now that I can't tell you. I promise that after all of these, I will spend more time with you."

"It's okay, mommy." Gab cupped Lisa's face in her little hands "I know that you are busy, mommy Jennie taught me that whenever she's busy, she's doing that for me, are you doing that for me too?"

Lisa smiled "Yes, baby. Everything that I do is for you. You are such a smart girl, you know that?"

"Yup, mommy Jennie always says that to me. But mom, mommy Jennie is not comfortable sleeping here, can she go with us?"

"Don't worry about mommy Jennie, we will move to a senior suite while grandma and your uncle Hanbin will stay here."

"Gab, we have to go. It's getting late, your mama Adeline is waiting for you." Bambam interrupted their talk

Gab kissed everyone's cheeks before walking to her uncle Bambam.

When they finally left, Lisa faced the Kim family "I have an important announcement."

Mrs. Kim, Jennie, and Hanbin exchange look.

Lisa started to speak, explaining all the important matters that her mother Adeline said to her. Not missing an important detail while the three can't comprehend all the information that Lisa just have said.

"So you're saying that Kim Inc. is yours?" Jennie wanted to clarify

"Yes, babe and I want you to fly back to Seoul with me to get our company."

"Wait.. our?"

"Well, it's not official but I already talked to my lawyer to make you my co-owner of that company."

"But.."

"No buts, babe. Listen, I know this is too much but let me, I want you to run that company, Venus Hotel is my priority and I can't merge that company to mine because obviously it's not related to Hotel and stuffs. Please, take it. You are the only person I can trust. Kim Inc. is a manufacturer of silk and all, why don't you merge your boutique to it?"

"Lisa is right, Jen. Take it, this is the big break for your boutique." Mrs. Kim encouraged her daughter

"I'll take it." Jennie sighed "Thank you, babe." Jennie held Lisa's hands and tiptoed to kiss her lips "You are really a heaven-sent."

"How about Mr. Chu's family?" Hanbin asked, "We should get them from Kai."

"That won't be a problem anymore because at this moment, mom's men are already there to rescue them." Lisa answered "Mom, can I have some words with you?"

Jennie threw a confused look at her girlfriend.

"Well, that seems serious so yeah."

Mrs. Kim and Lisa went out of the room, leaving Jennie and Hanbin.

"Mom, Jennie and I are not getting younger anymore and Gab is also growing up and.."

"You want to ask permission from me to marry my daughter, am I right?"

Lisa nodded "I want to marry your daughter. She's not just my girlfriend, she's also the mother of my daughter. I want to ask for your permission first before I propose to her. You are a big part of Jennie's life that is why your opinion is very important to me."

"After all what I discovered, you being the real mother of Gab, you being the victim of Hanbin's irresponsibility, nothing change the way I look at you. You are still the Lisa who loves my daughter, your love for her made you forgive Hanbin, your love for her made you stick to her despite of everything. Yes, Lisa. I give my permission to you to marry my daughter. I can't wish for more from you but that is to love her more and Gab."

Lisa hugged the old Mrs. Kim "Thank you, mom. Thank you. I will not waste this."

"I know, Lisa. I know."

"Gab said that you haven't slept well last night, why is that? Aren't you comfortable with the bed there?"

"I was, babe but you weren't there. I feel like you are in danger when you are outside."

Lisa slowly walked to Jennie and hugged her from behind while they are looking at the lights of Busan from the huge window of senior suite "Don't worry too much about me, babe. I can take care of myself, I was the one who feel like you are in danger when you are not with me. I even called the chief of my security team to double the security of the building."

"Babe, I want you to be honest with me. What was the thing you talked about with mom?"

Lisa gently placed her chin on Jennie's shoulder "Something that I can't tell you for now."

"You're hiding things from me now, Lisa Manoban. When did you start doing that, huh?" Jennie said with a bit of mockery in her voice

"Just now, babe." Lisa chuckled "I'll tell you when the time's come. For now.." she put her hands on Jennie's shoulders and turned her around "Why don't you give your girlfriend a sweet long long long kiss because.."

Lisa didn't get to finish her sentence when a pair of lips landed on hers. Kissing her lips hungrily.

"You're mine tonight." Jennie said after the kiss

"I'm always yours, babe." Lisa kissed her girlfriend again, this time with more gusto

Slowly, their feet made their way to their bed. Lisa slowly pushed Jennie down to the bed and undressed in front of her.

The magnificent moon was the only witness to their first make love.
