"Lisa, go after her. While you, Jennie, you come with me, you so much explanation to do." Mrs. Kim stood up and went to her room

"Babe, make her understand, okay? I'll just talk to mom." Jennie kissed Lisa's cheek before following her mother to her room

Lisa excused herself from the remaining Kim family and followed her daughter to her room.

"Gab, can you let mommy Lisa explain?" Lisa knocked on the door "Give mommy a chance to explain, please."

The door slowly opened. Lisa smiled sadly at Gab while the latter is still crying.

Gab walked back to her bed and sat on it. Lisa crouched in front of her.

"Why do you hate me, Gab? Mommy doesn't want that to happen."

"Be..because you just let them take me away from you." Gab sobbed "Why did you just let them?"

"Because they said that you are dead. Mommy Jennie said that to you earlier, right? I don't know if I should tell you this but mommy got raped and I got pregnant with you. It was the darkest part of my life but when you came into my life, you bring back the light and hope for me but my father wants to send you to an orphanage but mommy loves you so much and I refused to send you so I run away but we met an accident. In that accident, they made me believe that you are dead, my world crashed again because the only reason why I remain strong and alive is gone. Then your uncle Bam, my brother gave you to Nayeon and Nayeon gave you to mommy Jennie. Please understand and believe me that I didn't want what happened, mommy was weak and vulnerable at that time. I didn't abandon you, they took you from me."

Lisa was surprised when Gab hugged her "I don't hate you, mommy. I'm sorry too. So you are my mommy now? For real truth?"

Lisa giggled "Yes, Gab. For real truth. I love you, baby. Mommy won't let that happen again." She kissed Gab's temple

"I love you too, mommy."

"Why did you lie, Ruby Jane? I never taught you how to lie."

"I need to lie because I know you won't allow me to keep Gab that time. You were so against me keeping Gab that time. Forgive me, mom. I know you're mad and you're disappointed."

"There is so much happening and I can't absorb everything, Jen. Kai, went here this morning and.."

"And what, mom? What did he do to you?"

"Nothing, Jen but he said something that, something that is hard to believe. He said that your brother Hanbin is still alive."

Jennie stood up and stepped back "That was.. impossible, mom. We search the whole Jeju and we didn't find him plus... Kai doesn't even know my brother." Jennie panicked, she lied again "That can't be."

"My point is how can he say that if he doesn't know your brother? I'm sure he has a reason why he said that, maybe your brother is.. is really still alive."

Jennie shook her head "No, mom. That's impossible."

Jennie's conscience is eating her but telling her mom about the truth won't be a good idea for now.

"God knows how I much want to tell you the truth, mom but I can't for now. Hanbin's safety must come first.. wait. How the fuck Kai found out about my brother?!"

"Excuse me, mom. I need to talk to Lisa." With that, she rushed to Gab's room where Lisa is

"Babe, we have a problem." Jennie entered the room without knocking

Lisa stopped playing with her daughter "Babe, what problem?" She turned her attention back to Gab "I'll just talk to mommy Jen, okay?"

Gab just nodded her head, Lisa kissed her head before getting up from the bed.

"Let's talk in the garden, babe." Lisa said to Jennie

The two sat on the bench.

"Why are you panicking, babe?" Lisa asked, seeing her girlfriend being uneasy

"Kai went here this morning and he said to mom that Hanbin is alive." She said worriedly "It means he knows about Hanbin."

"That.. can't be, babe. No one knows about Hanbin's whereabouts." Lisa refused to believe "If.. fuck. I'll call Bam."

Lisa dialed Bam's number.

"Noona."

"Bam, I need you to go to Hanbin's house now!" Lisa said "Now, Bam! Now."

"What's happening, noona?"

"Someone found out where is Hanbin and that is not a good thing. Now get your ass off wherever you are and I want you to secure the whole area. Bring the whole security team."

"Yes, noona. I'll go now. I'll call you after." He then ended the call

"Kai can't have your brother, Jen. If your brother slips just a little information about what happened in the past everything will be doomed. We need to get your brother before he can abduct him."

"We shouldn't have left my brother, babe. What if Kai already took him? What if he does something to my brother?"

"Be positive, babe." Lisa wrapped her arm around Jennie's shoulder and pulled her closer to her "We'll get your brother before Kai can even touch him."

Jennie rested her head against Lisa's chest "Protect us, babe. I don't have the power to protect our family."

"I will, babe. No one can hurt any of you. I promise you that." She kissed Jennie's head

"Kai is telling the truth, that brother is alive."

Jennie and Lisa looked at the person standing near them.

"How long you're keeping this to us, noona?" V asked in disbelief "You're depriving us to know the truth."

Jennie stood up and held V's hand "V, my god, don't tell mom about what you heard."

"She deserves to know the truth, noona!" V swatted Jennie's hand "I will tell her."

V was about to walk but Jennie stopped him "Let us explain first."

"Hear us out first, V. After we explain everything I will let you tell your mom." Lisa said to him
