Chapter Twenty-Nine: Lies

Third Person's POV

"Venus is..." Jennie covered her mouth using her hand to prevent a sob to escape, tears falling from her cat doe eyes "Venus is Gab."

The siblings looked at Jennie in shock.

"What you do mean?" Lisa stood up again "Babe."

"Nayeon gave Gab to me six years ago." Jennie downcasts her head "Gab is your real daughter."

Lisa seems can't comprehend all the information "You... Venus... Gab?" She hugged Jennie that made the latter shock "Thank you."

Jennie reciprocated the hug "Thank you for what, babe?"

Bambam cleared his throat "Excuse me, I think I need to leave you two alone now." With that, he exited the office

Lisa pulled away from the hug, she stared at Jennie's eyes and said "Gab or Venus is the reason why we met. She's really our daughter now, babe."

"I think it's time for us to go home now, babe. Our daughter is waiting for us."

"You think she will understand?"

Lisa and Jennie took the earliest flight to Seoul and they are bow flying back to their daughter.

Lisa intertwined their hands together "She will because we will explain it to her carefully and clearly. We don't want to confuse her."

Jennie stared at their joined hands, something that still makes her heart beat faster.

"I lied to my family, babe. I told them that I got Gab from a garbage can, mom will surely get mad at me." Jennie worriedly said

"Can you explain how did you get Gab? Everything is still a puzzle to me, babe." Lisa said to her "If your mom gets mad, I will be there to support you and try to explain to her."

"I think it was your brother who gave Venus or Gab to Nayeon, she was my college classmate, one day she run to me asking for help to take the baby from her, I refused at first because I'm still a student that time, we even barely survive in our daily lives but the baby caught my heart. I took the baby from Nayeon and yeah, I adopted her, legally."

"Well, I'm thankful that our daughter caught your heart that time because if she wasn't, she won't grow with a loving family like yours. What was the reaction of your family, babe?"

"Mom was mad and refusing to accept the baby but I was persistent until they let me adopt Gab. Student by day and working mom by night." Jennie smiled, remembering the old times "She's the most beautiful baby I even laid my eyes on. She's just like you, babe. Now I know where Gab inherit her smartness."

Lisa smiled at Jennie's words "It is also because of you, babe. You raised her as a good person just like you. What does Gab know about her true parents? What did you say to her?"

"The same thing I told my family, that her parents left her in a garbage can, I'm sorry, babe. I didn't know that this day will come." Jennie apologized "That my girlfriend is actually the real mother of my daughter. Funny, isn't it? Our world is so small, it's like destiny brought us to each other."

"Yeah, destiny, and I am more than grateful for that." Lisa raised their joined hands and kissed Jennie's knuckles "I want to marry you, Jen."

That made Jennie blushed furiously "Ma...marry?"

"Yes, babe. When everything is okay already, I will propose to you and one day, I will marry you." She said, full of sincerity while looking into Jennie's eyes "I love you, babe."

"And I will always be loving you, babe."

The Kim family was surprised to see the couple but their daughter is much happier to see them.

"Mommies! You're home!" Gab jumped up and down "My mommies are home!"

Lisa picked her up "My baby..." she breathed out crying "My daughter."

Gab pursed her lips "Why are you crying, mommy? Are you sad? Aren't you happy to see me again? Or this is tears of joy just like what mommy Jen said?"

"This is tears of joy, baby. Mommy is happy to finally see you." She kissed Gab's forehead "Forgive mommy. I didn't know that you're alive. They took you from me."

The Kim family is confused about Lisa's actions and words.

"Is Lisa okay? What is happening?" Mrs. Kim asked Jennie

"We have something to tell you." Jennie announced to her family "Please, let's all sit down."

Chaesoo glanced at each other while Nathan is in Jisoo's hand, Mrs. Kim and V sat next to them while Jennie and Lisa sat across them, Gab sitting on Lisa's lap.

"What is this all about, Jen?" Jisoo asked, "It seems serious."

"It is, eonni." Jennie confirmed "Lisa and I discovered something while we are in Jeju." She glanced at Lisa "We found out that Lisa's daughter is still alive."

"Ve...Venus is still alive?" Chaeyoung asked, looking at Lisa "Is that true? My niece is alive? My god! Thank you."

"Yes, Chaeng. My Venus is still alive and she's with us right now."

"What? Oh my god." Chaeyoung covered her mouth using her hand "you mean..."

"Gab is Venus." Lisa confirmed

"What do you mean, mommy? I'm not Venus, I'm Gab. Don't you remember?" The kid innocently asked

Lisa looked at Jennie, mentally asking for help.

Jennie placed her hand over Gab's hand "Your real mom is mommy Lisa, Gab. You are the baby of mommy Lisa."

"I don't understand, mommy. You said that Venus is dead. I'm not Venus." Gab is confused

"Jennie, you're confusing your daughter." Mrs. Kim scolded "We are all confused"

Jennie sighed, she kneeled in front of her child "Mommy will explain everything. Listen, okay?"

Gab nodded " I will, mommy."

"Remember when I told you that your real parents left you in a garbage can? I lied to you, Gab." Jennie's eyes watered in tears "I'm sorry for lying to you, baby. Sorry for lying to all of you."

"Don't cry, mommy. I'm not mad at you." Gab wiped Jennie's tears off "Stop crying, mommy please."

Jennie smiled at her daughter, tears continue to fall "You remember when we told you that Venus is dead? She's not dead, she's alive. Mommy Lisa thought Venus is dead because her father made her believe that Venus is dead. Mommy Lisa's brother took Venus from..." she looked at Lisa for a brief second before looking back at Gab "her brother then gave you to his friend Nayeon."

"Where is Venus now, mommy?"

"Let mommy finish, okay? Nayeon is my friend too and Nayeon gave the baby to me and that baby is you, Gab. You are Venus."

Gab looked at Lisa with teary eyes "Is that true, mommy? Am I really Venus?"

Lisa nodded "Yes, Gab. You are my Venus."

Gab finally cried "I hate you!" With that, Gab run to her room
