Chapter Thirty-one: Mr. Chu

Third Person's POV

The couple convinced the youngest of the Kim to listen to them first.

V is now sitting in between the couple on the bench in their garden.

It was Lisa who explained everything to him, from beginning to end, not missing a single detail.

"Your father is a..."

"Killer." Lisa finished "Please don't judge me just because of my father's doing. I was oblivious about all the things he did to them."

"I won't judge you, Lisa." V assured her "Now that Kai knows about our brother, what will you do?"

"We'll move him to a secret place where Kai won't see him. I just hope that we're not too late."

Lisa's phone rang, Bam is calling.

"Bam, tell me he's still there, safe and sound."

"He's still here, noona. What do you want me to do?"

"Leave that house and don't leave any trace of him. I will text you an address of one of my secret properties, I want you to bring him there and don't tell anyone, not even Mr. Chu. Do you understand?"

"Yes, noona but can I ask why I shouldn't tell Mr. Chu? He's the one keeping Hanbin here, right?"

"That's exactly my point, Bam. No one knows about Hanbin except you, me, and him. I have a feeling that Mr. Chu has something to do with this."

"I hope that your feeling is not true, noona. Mr. Chu worked for dad for years and I can't imagine him betraying us, the Manoban. I will go now, noona. Hanbin is ready. Text me the address."

"Take care, Bam. Make sure that no one is following you and if someone is, mislead them." Then Lisa ended the call and texted Bam the address right away

"Hanbin is safe with Bam." Lisa informed the siblings

"Thank God." Jennie felt relieved "Are you still going to tell mom?" She asked their youngest

"I won't as long as Lisa is keeping our brother safe, I'm okay with that." V looked at Lisa "Can you promise me that you will protect us?"

"I will do my very best just to protect all of us."

Lisa's phone rang again but this time it was her mother calling.

"Lisa, the hospital called me and they already found the perfect donor for V. They already scheduled his operation next week so might as well go to Jeju days before his operation."

"That was good news, mom. Thank you for helping us. Uh, mom?"

"Yes, Lisa? Is there something you want to tell me?"

"I just want you to take care and be careful. If you feel someone is following you call me right away, okay?"

"Why, Lisa? Are we in trouble? Is this Bam's doing again?"

"No, mom. This has nothing to do with Bam, it has something to do with me. I will send some of my men to guard you 24/7. I will explain everything to you when we see each other, okay?"

"Okay, but whatever is that... I want you to take care of yourself also. I love you, Lisa."

"I love you too, mom."

"Are you sure you're okay here?"

Hanbin glanced around the house "I'll be fine here but can I know what is going on? Why did you bring me here?"

"Someone discovered where you are and noona asked me to get you there and bring you here. She ordered me to make sure that you are safe. Don't tell anyone that you are here, not even Mr. Chu, that was noona's order." He glanced at his wristwatch "I need to go. There are tons of men guarding the house."

"Okay, thank you." Hanbin gave his gratitude

"Before I go, I need to confiscate your phone."

Hanbin sighed and surrendered his phone to Bam "You can trust me but yeah, here."

"I'm just making sure."

When Bambam is already out of the house, he dialed the person he hired to surveillance Mr. Chu.

"What is he doing?"

"He's in the airport, sir. He's flying to Seoul. I'm following him, sir, just like what you told me."

"Great job. Call me when you arrived at the airport." He ended the call

"You better not doing what we're thinking about you, Mr. Chu." Bam breathed out and looked at the sky "Look what you did, father. It's been years since you died but the mess you created is still hunting me and noona."

"Bambam texted me that Mr. Chu is flying to Seoul."

"Do you really think that Mr. Chu teamed up with Kai? For what reason? The last time we are with him, he even told us that Kai is investigating."

Lisa joined her girlfriend on the bed "I don't know, babe. Who would else tell Kai about Hanbin? Bam can't do that, though he's a happy-go-lucky and sometimes hard-headed he knows that family is family. He won't and can't betray me."

Jennie wrapped her arm around Lisa's torso and placed her head on Lisa's chest "I just hope that Kai will stop and everything goes back to normal."

"Me too, babe. I contacted my lawyer, I want to handle's Gab's papers if it's okay with you." Lisa is playing with Jennie's hair using her fingers

"What exactly do you want to happen, babe?"

"I want to change her name, all of her records."

"Lisa..." Jennie sat up "I..."

"You're against it."

"She's Gabrielle now, you will just confuse her more."

"But she's Venus. I'm her biological mother, Jen and it's my right to name her." Lisa fought back "Why are you so against it?"

Jennie turned her head away from Lisa, hiding the afflictive tears falling from her eyes "Because that's the only thing I gave her. Her name is the only thing that came from me, it's the only thing I'm holding."

Lisa sat up and reached Jennie's face and guided it to face her "Okay, I will not change her name just please don't cry." She lovingly wiped Jennie's tears "But can I at least change her birthday?"

Jennie nodded "Okay, that was the original one anyway."

Lisa sweetly smiled "I love you, Nini."

Jennie leaned forward and pressed her lips to Lisa's "I love you too, Lili."
