Chapter Thirty-Two: Reunion

Third Person's POV

"Wow!" Gab expressed her amazement at the magnificent beauty of Jeju from Lisa's office "Mommy Jennie is right, Jeju is beautiful."

Jennie and Lisa exchanged looks, smiling at their daughter.

"Why are we here, mommy? Are we on vacation?"

"No, Gab. Your uncle Tae will be having his operation here that is why." Jennie answered

Gab roamed around Lisa's office while the couple was sitting on the sofa.

"Is uncle Tae sick?"

Jennie forgot that her daughter is oblivious to V's condition.

"He is, Gab that is why you should not give your uncle a headache, you behave, okay?"

"I will, mommy." Then she saw a picture of Venus in a frame on Lisa's table "Is this me?"

"Yes, Gab. That was taken by your uncle Bam when you're still in the nursery. Your uncle Bam is so in love with you." Lisa unconsciously smiled

"I want to meet uncle Bam, mommy Lisa." Gab said in enthusiasm "Is he going to visit you here?"

"Yes, Gab. He'll be here any moment, he's just in a meeting."

"You think he still loves me? I'm not Venus anymore, I'm Gabriel now."

"Of course he still loves you, Venus or Gabriel, your uncle Bam will always love you."

"She's full of questions." Lisa whispered to Jennie

"Yes, she is. Sometimes I'm having a hard time finding answers to her questions." Jennie slowly shook her head "Is it in your genes? Being curious and smart?"

Lisa just laughed and can't find answers to her girlfriend's question.

"No one is in there! You said that he's there!" Kai is fuming mad at the old man

"But..but."

"But what, Mr. Chu? Cat caught your tongue?" Kai runs his fingers to his hair "Where is he? Are you playing games on me? We both know what I am capable to do!"

"No need to threaten me, Mr. Kim, maybe Lisa found out that you already know about Hanbin, I told you that it's not a good idea to tell the Kim family about him. Lisa is a smart woman, before you can think of something she already made an action towards it."

"Forgive me, Lisa. I don't want to do this but my own family is in danger."

"Bullshit!" Kai stood from his swivel chair "We need to find him! She's the only key for me to know where my brother is."

Kai abducted the whole family of Mr. Chu to make him be on his side and tell him everything that he knows but little that Kai didn't know Mr. Chu is still loyal to the Manoban, he didn't tell Kai all the things he knows. Mr. Chu also knows how to play his game.

"Are you sure you don't have anything to do with my brother's disappearance?" Kai questioned the old man

Mr. Chu looked at him in the eyes and said "I have nothing to do with your brother's disappearance. It was only Mr. Manoban and Hanbin who knows what happened to your brother. Mr. Manoban was a secretive person, even me, his own right hand sometimes doesn't know all his doings."

If there is something that Mr. Chu is good at that is lying. In almost twenty years of service with Mr. Manoban, he mastered the art of lying because of his involvement with his boss' bad doings.

Days passed and the day of operation of V came. Everyone is praying for the success of his operation.

Before the day of his operation, he wished to have a one on one talk with his sister Jennie.

"Can I at least see him before my operation?"

"I don't think that is a good idea, V. Brother's life is in danger. Someone might see him here." Jennie refused her brother's request

"Please, noona. No one knows if I will survive the operation, if something happened, at least let me see him. I want to see brother, noona. Please."

Jennie sighed, looking at her brother in sympathy "You will live, V. You're not going to die. Lisa hired the bests doctors in Korea. I can't risk Hanbin's life."

"But no one will see him! Lisa owns this hospital, she can manipulate everything within this hospital." V reasoned out, trying to convince his sister "Please, I want to see him."

"Mom will see him also, knowing mom, she won't leave your side until you're in the operating room. Mom will have a heart attack."

"Maybe it's time for mom to know the truth. Lisa promised us that she will protect us, trust in her promise. I know Lisa will fulfill her promise."

"Where is Lisa? She should be here." Mrs. Kim asked her daughter Jennie

Chaesoo can't go with them since Nathan is still months old, that is why it was only Mrs. Kim, Jennie, Lisa, Gab, and V who flew to Jeju.

"She dropped Gab to Bambam and she just needed to fetch someone." Jennie nervously said, stealing glances at V

"You two, there is something you're not telling me." Mrs. Kim perceived the glances of the siblings to each other

Mrs. Kim is sitting on a mono-block next to V's bed, Jennie is sitting on a sofa while V is laying on his bed.

"Actually, there is mom." Jennie took a deep breath "About the person that Lisa fetched."

"Why? Is there something special with that person?"

"Before we answer you, please promise us that you will not freaking out and will stay calm." V said

"Okay? Why would I freak out? Can you just answer me because you're confusing me?" Mrs. Kim impatiently said to her children

Jennie was about to drop the answer when someone knocked on the door.

"I'll get it." Mrs. Kim said

Before Jennie can protest her mother already stood up and opened the door

"Ha...Hanbin." Mrs. Kim's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting to see her son "Is... is that really you, son?"

"Mom, it's better if you let us in first so that you can talk to Hanbin." Lisa advised

Mrs. Kim didn't listen, she threw herself to her son and engulfed him in a warm motherly embrace.

"Son, you're alive." Mrs. Kim pulled out from the hug and looked at her son from head to toe "My son..." he placed her hand on Hanbin's face "You're real."

Mrs. Kim can't contain her happiness in seeing her son after six years. The tears of bliss are the evidence of her happiness.

Lisa went inside and sat next to her girlfriend.

"You think this is a good idea?" Lisa asked while watching the two

"I don't know but my heart is jumping in joy right now, seeing them like this."

"I'm real, mom." Hanbin smiled at his mother, touching Mrs. Kim's hand on his face "I'm sorry."
