Chapter Twenty-Six: Truth

Lisa's POV

"Kai?"

Jennie's ex is related to one of my rapists. That is the reason why I can't trust his face.

"Kai or Jongin, yes, he's investigating." Mr. Chu confirmed "He's the brother of Jin. We need to resolve this or else we're all doomed."

"Why are you worrying too much, Mr. Chu? You already took care of all the evidence, right?" Hanbin asked

"I did but I am worried about what he can do. When Mr. Manoban died, Jongin's family took advantage of that to be next to the top. The Manoban empire is barely surviving to be on top." Mr. Chu looked at me "I'm worried that he will go after Lisa."

"Don't worry about me, Mr. Chu, I can take of myself. We don't have to worry about him since you've said that you already took care of the evidence." I wrapped my arm around Jennie's shoulder "Didn't Kai told you that he's related to your brother's friend?"

"Honestly, I didn't mention to him that I have another brother aside from V."

"We need to eliminate him." Hanbin voiced "or he will kill us."

"What? What do you mean eliminate him? You're going to kill him? No!" Jennie opposed "Kai is not a killer."

"Now you're on his side." I looked at her in disbelief "Are you serious?"

She put her hand on my face and said "I'm not on his side, babe. You said that killing people is evil, now you want to kill him? You are better than that, babe."

"I'm not going to be like my father. I'm not a killer. I'm not going to be like him."

"No one is killing anyone." I said to them "We're not like my father."

Jennie and I stayed for the night, she really missed her brother and I can't say no to her while Mr. Chu left a while ago.

Hanbin and I are sitting on the couch while Jennie is in the kitchen, cooking dinner for us.

"Uh...Lisa." Hanbin started, giving me an unsure look

"Yeah? Aren't you comfortable with me?"

"Trust me, I'm not comfortable either. Sitting with your rapist is... whatever."

"I have something to tell you." He took a deep breath "Venus is..."

"Dinner is ready!" Jennie walked in "Oh, am I interrupting something?"

"Nothing really." Hanbin stood up "Let's eat, I'm starving."

Venus is what? And why does he know about Venus? Did dad tell him about Venus? But why?

"Babe? You okay?" Jennie offered her hand for me to take it "You're spacing out."

"Oh, sorry. I was just... thinking of something." I took her hand and stood up "Let's eat?"

"We'll talk later, Lisa." She said looking into my eyes "Whatever is that, we'll talk about it."

"This is why I'm asking myself if I truly deserve you, Jen. You're too great to be true."

"Sure, babe." I pinched her mandu cheek "I love you."

She pouted while rubbing her cheek "I love you but don't you ever pinch my cheek again."

I laughed and we started to walk to the dining room.

"But they are too fluffy and soft like mandu." I giggled "My baby mandu."

"Haha." She rolled her eyes

Hanbin is already sitting and waiting for us.

"Let's eat." He smiled "I missed having dinner with someone, I always eat alone."

"Damn, the sadness in his eyes. That must be sad and miserable. Having no one, far away from your family."

The siblings enjoyed conversing, they really missed each other. Jennie tried to involve me in their conversation but I barely answered because of what Hanbin was about to say to me.

Jennie insisted to wash the dishes after we eat, I tried to help her but she refused. My baby mandu is wife material. Can't wait to marry her... I mean, why not? Should I ask her? But they are still some things that need to be fixed and solve, Kai, Jin and his friends, and Venus. How the hell Hanbin knew about my daughter?

While Jennie is busy, I made my way to Hanbin's room. I took a deep breath before I knocked.

"Come in." He said

I twisted the doorknob and I saw him sitting on his bed, back resting against the headboard while reading a book.

"Can we talk?"

He closed the book and said, "About the thing, I was about to say earlier." Motherfactly

I sat on the other side of the bed, keeping my distance from him "Yeah."

"Let's wait for Jennie. I know that everything you'll know should include her." He sighed "You really love my sister?"

"More than anything in this word, man."

"Yes. I would do anything for her. I love your sister so much." I said truthfully

"Why it doesn't affect your feelings for her when you discovered that.. her brother is one of your rapists? Why? Why are you so kind?"

"That's how I love your sister, nothing in this world can change my feelings for her, not even my past, not even you. Jennie is so precious and I want to keep her for the rest of my life, till my last second in this world. She accepted my past, she accepted the whole me and I will do the same for her." I didn't notice that I am already crying "I love your sister so much so please, I don't want her to get hurt, let's protect her at any cost."

"Thank you, thank you for loving my sister. I am now sure that Jennie is in good hands and don't worry, I will protect my sister."

Then someone knocked, Hanbin and I turned our attention to the door.

"Lisa?" Jennie walked in "Babe, why are you crying?" She rushed to me and sat in front of me "Are you okay?" She brushed my tears off from my face

Jennie looked at her brother and asked "What did you do with my girlfriend?"

Geez. It feels so good hearing that from her.

Hanbin held his hands up "Woah! I didn't do anything. You never change, you're always overreacting, we were just talking about you." He then put his hands down

Jennie turned her attention back to me "Is that true?"

I nodded and smiled "I was just saying to your brother that I love you. That was tears of joy."

She seems satisfied with my answer "Why are you here anyway?"

"I need to tell Lisa something." Hanbin was the one who answered

"What is that? That seems serious. There are so many revelations for today." Jennie joked

Hanbin looked at us and said, "Venus is alive, but..."
