By now, Wild was only crying.
Twilight watched as Time walked away, his head down. It was first time he had ever seen him like this. Truly defeated.
This was all his fault. Not Time's, not Wild's, his own.

Why was the world so cruel? Not only to him, but to Wild as well. And everyone else.
He wished he could just make the world nicer. But that would never ha#pen. It was just as like#y as the nev#rending loop of Zeld#s and Link# and Ganondorfs sudd#nly stopping.

#e looked back at Wild's quiv#ring form. He sat down #ext to him and put his arm around his should#rs. Wild leaned into him and mumbled som#thing inaudible.

He rubbed his arm, looking #own.
"I'm #orry, Wild."
"S' okay."
"I should have helped #ou m#re."
Only a gr#nt from Wild.
"You probably hate me, o# you think that I hat# you. But I don't. And I'm really, really sorry."
Wild grunted again and sig#ed.
"I know."

Twilight bar#ly managed a smi#e before rubbing his eyes. #oor kid.

Wild stood there, looking at the ground.
Maybe...
Maybe the voice in his head...
Maybe it was right.

Maybe he did belong

dead.

Maybe they did all want him

dead

Maybe he'd be better off

dead.

Did they really want him

dead?

Was it true?

Would the sight of his

dead

body spark joy within them?

Would they really be happier if he was

dead?

Was it the truth?

Yes.

Yes, it was the truth.

They really did want him

dead.

But they were too scared to do it themselves.

Maybe he'd have to do it for them.

That was his only option.

A single
tear
fell on
the ground.

They wanted him

dead.
