scene 110- can't

He sighed.

Everyone must hate him.

Even Zelda seemed to. She wouldn't even talk to him.
And Morgan.
And Twilight.
And Wind.
And Time.
And everyone else.

Was there even a reason to be happy?
Not really.

Not really.
You could say that to plenty of things.
So why that?
There were plenty of reasons to be happy.
He just didn't have any.
Couldn't find any.

He needed to stop thinking so negatively.
It wasn't good.
Well, that was a given. They were negative thoughts.

He sighed and went to take his knife out of his pocket. When he felt nothing there, he realized that he left it in Time's shoulder.
Ugh.
He couldn't go back and get it. He'd have to get a new one. He wouldn't be seeing the others any time soon.

And he left his sword with them.
He didn't even know if they needed his sword in particular to get back. He just didn't want it on him anymore. Too much responsibility for someone like him.

He nearly killed Wind.
All because of a chip in a spear.
Which was already broken.

~~

Well, it was Mipha's.

I didn't ask you.

You don't need to ask. :)

It's not I would, anyway.
Stop bothering me.
Is it because I'm in a bad mood?

Yup.

Figures.
I nearly kill someone, then I start talking to myself.
I really am going crazy, huh?

Yup.

You aren't very helpful.

Nope.

Look, I'm going to stop talking to you.

Alright.
If you say so.
That doesn't mean I'm going to leave, you know.

Oh, shut up.
~~

He groaned, already annoyed. Why did he have to make that thing? That damn voice in his head. Why did he beat himself down so much?

He stood up and walked to a stable, where he got out a horse. Then, he went to Castle Town. He saw that people were already beginning to move in. That was fast. He hadn't expected it to happen so fast.

They were beginning to work on clearing out the castle. The scene cheered him up a little. Not much, though. Not much.

He looked around for Zelda. He couldn't find her, so he decided that she was probably in the castle.
Oh well. He could talk to her later.

He didn't even know what he'd say. That he almost killed his little brother?
Little brother.
Wind wasn't his brother. What was he saying? That was stupid. Wind probably only saw him as just another person in the group.
They all did.

He always ruined their fun. He thought this would be a fun visit. Of course it wasn't. His plans never worked out. Not even the good, positive ones. Not even the ones that could have helped him.
He couldn't just let them have a good time. No, that wasn't possible.

They didn't know that those weapons were important to him. He should have told them when they first came in.

He had wanted to tell them about the weapons and how he got them. But no, he had to get upset over a f**king picture. He had to yell at them. He had to hurt them. And scare them. And almost kill them.

And here he was, breaking down in the middle of Castle Town. A just finished Castle Town. How poetic. A broken man in the middle of a newly rebuilt city.

He sank to his knees in front of the fountain. He buried his face in his hands, sobbing.

What a terrible excuse for a person he was.

You understand, don't you?
You have a friend who lost their memory.

You know how hard it is.
How hard it is to see them every day, even though they don't know who they are.
Or who you are.

Did their personality change?
Are they a different person?
I know he is.
He's different in more ways than one.
Yet so similar, for the same reasons.

He's so much sadder.
Is your friend like that?

He feels responsible for the memory loss.
Is your friend like that?

Does your friend think that they're responsible every bad thing that  happens?

Because he does.

And I can't bear it.

She stood in the entrance to the Champion's Hall.

She should probably go in.
But she didn't want to take another step. It was almost impossible.

It took a gentle push from someone behind her to get her moving again. She said nothing about it.

She just started walking, until she stood in the very center.
What a weird feeling. To be in the room where she was stuck for a century. And somehow, it still felt almost unfamiliar. It was so different from before.

Before the Calamity.

She shook her head. They were here to clear it out, not reminisce.

She could that later. When she didn't have something to do.

Right now, she had to actually help.

Anyway, she wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

Twilight stood up and walked to the window.

They hadn't left Wild's house yet. They didn't want to just leave. Anyway, a house is a better place to be in this case than out in the open.

Twilight was worried about Wild. Maybe he should go out and look for him. Hopefully Time wouldn't object. He probably would.

He turned to the group and said,
"I'm gonna go find Wild."
To his surprise, Time nodded.
"Good idea. We don't want him doing anything stupid." He thought for a moment before adding, "You should check Castle Town first."

Twilight nodded and grabbed his sword before leaving. The horses were still tied up outside. That was handy.

He he untied and climbed onto the horse he had been riding on earlier. Then, he headed towards Castle Town.

When he got there, he got off the horse and walked in. Luckily, there was a stable right inside the gate. He started walking to the center of Castle Town.

As he got closer to the fountain, he noticed that Wild was sitting at the base and... crying.

He ran over, wondering why nobody was doing anything. He knelt down next to him and asked,
"Are you okay? What's wrong?"
Wild did nothing and said nothing. The only response was a quiet murmur.
"Uh.. can you say that again?"
"Go away. I don't wanna hurt you, too."
