Corey and I decide to take a break from life and have a beach day. Invite our friends to play sand volleyball and drink until we can drink no more. I don't have a lot of experiences with beaches, my family is Canadian so every vacation I've had is somewhere cold like Vancouver or Banff or Victoria or something that is made for skiing and shopping. Never had I the chance to be on a beach so I'm pretty excited. Even if it is on Lake Michigan.

I find the swim suit I bought not too long ago and pull it on. It was a simple light pink bikini that made my skin look really good. Since Corey was working out in the gym I've been going with him to stay in shape and it's been working as far as I can tell. I've always been toned but I've never had abs before and I could see them now which was kinda crazy. Not a lot of aspiring artists have abs but there's a first time for everything. I did a lot of sports growing up but weight training and cardio was never my thing. But now it's a good release and gives me a excuse to hang out with Corey so I enjoy it. And the results speak for themselves.

I find something to cover up with and walk over to Corey's apartment. I let myself in and sit on his couch as I play with my beautiful puppy dog. I've been staying with Corey for a while so we keep her here. I keep my things at my place because I live next door and I can keep all my crap organized there. But I shower and cook and sleep here so we keep Roxie here so she's not going back and fourth.

Eventually Corey comes out in his trunks and a tank top. He had his beach towel thrown over his shoulder and he was ready to roll.

We drive on over to the beach and find our friends all set up already. I swear we will arrive on time to these things one of these days. Just not today.

We go to the bar and get some drinks before laying out our towels. I lay down and smile when I feel the sun hit my skin. The only time I'm really out is when I'm taking pictures and I haven't gotten to take any out here. I swear the sun hits differently on this beach, I can feel the heat go into my skin and it relaxed me.

"I have never seen you so relaxed in your life" Corey notices.

"This... is bliss" I sigh.

"Should have known that deep down you were a beach babe" he accuses.

I lift my head and tip my sunglasses down so he can see me glare at him. "A beach babe" I ask.

"Yeah. A total beach babe" he insists. "But if anyone else tells you that I will kill them" he claims.

"Alright big man, step down. We're here for a good time" I remind him.

"Then why don't we get in the water" he asks.

"I'm down" I shrug.

I shed my shirt and shorts and set them with the rest of my stuff on my towel. I start to put on sunscreen but I couldn't help but feel eyes on me. So I look up and see Corey staring at me making me blush. "You've seem me naked Cor, please stop staring" I beg.

"I'm sorry. It's just... you look like a model and it's kinda a lot to take in. I'm still not used to it and I'm not sure I ever will be" he claims.

"Well aren't you the sweet talking ladies man" I smirk.

"Just for you" he winks.

We finally get into the water and Corey doesn't let me go. He doesn't even loosen his grip on me as we talk to his friends and splashed around. He keeps me in his arms the whole time making sure I knew he was there.

The music from the beach gets louder and Corey starts to nod his head. I look at him weird because this isn't the type of song he would listen to.

"How do you know this song" I wonder.

"I lived this song" he claims. "Listen to the lyrics and it will all make sense."

"It's like you caught up in a maze
You keep on going in circles, girl
You're trying to find your way out
But it's time I put on my cape and
Put that S on my chest
Girl I wanna come and save you

But I'm stuck in the middle of seeing you hurt
I know when you love him and you wanna make it work
And I can't help but think that I known you first
It's getting louder, girl, can't ignore it no more

I can hear your heart crying out for me
(Crying out for me)
I can hear your heart crying out for me
(And it keeps on saying)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me
(And it keeps on saying)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me
(I can baby)
I can hear your heart crying out for me."

We continue to sway in the water as I look up into his eyes. I see them start to get glassy and I notice he really felt this song. He felt like he was this song and that's what made it so emotional for him.

And honestly this song was heartbreaking. The fact that he knew I was in a relationship I didn't belong in and he wanted so bad to tell me to give it up but I refused to. He wanted to save me but I wouldn't let him because I wanted it to work out with Mark. And even though I've known him forever I forgot what this man meant to me. And it was everything.

"Baby, I should've never caught no feeling
But baby having late night conversions on your sofa
You telling me how he played you out
Over and over, over and over

But I'm stuck in the middle of seeing you hurt
I know when you love him and you wanna make it work
And I can't help but think that I knew you first
It's getting louder, girl, I can't ignore it no more baby

I can hear your heart crying out for me
(Crying out for me)
I can hear your heart crying out for me
(Oh, yeah and girl, it's saying)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me
(Save me)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me
I can hear your heart crying out for me
(I can hear it, yeah)
Girl, it's crying, it's crying."

I rest my head on his chest as I close my eyes. He runs his fingers through my hair as I hold him.

"I don't like this song" I tease and I feel his chest shake my cheek as he laughs.

"It's pretty sad but I loved it. It helped me through some hard times" he claims.

"I'm sorry loving me was so painful" I sigh.

"It was" he admits. "But I would do it all again to be here with you like this" he promises.

"I don't wanna confuse things
(No)
But I just can't keep lying to myself
When you're holding me
(When you're holding me)
I can feel your pain

Oh baby, let me be your dream
I'm the answer come see me
(See me)
And you don't have to cry no more

Girl, I can hear your heart
I can hear your heart, girl, it's crying
Won't you listen to your heart, baby'

I can hear your heart crying out for me
(Girl, it's crying out for me)
I can hear your heart crying out for me
(And it's saying)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me
(Save me)
Come on in, come on in, come on in and save me."
