Chapter: 19
'That's actually not the whole reason why I'm here...' he said looking down.

'Oh..'

My heartbeat started to increase again. I didn't like this. There was this kind of tension between us and it didn't feel right.

'The sweater in the bag.. Where did you get it from?' he asked a little shy.

'I don't know actually. Let me think for a second.'

He nodded.

It was quiet for a bit as I was thinking of the reason.

'Oh, I know now. I was going out in Amsterdam and I met a really cute guy. My drunk ass took him home and after that it's a big blur. I guess we... you know.'

'Then you woke up alone because the guy was a pussy and he ran away but his stupid ass left a sweater at your place,' Corbyn said finishing my story.

'How did you-..'

We looked at each other.

'You are not saying that-..'

I was quiet for a bit.

'THAT'S FUCKED UP CORBYN!'

'I know..' he said looking down.

'But we both remember barely anything. Maybe it wasn't-'

'Haven't you ever seen what is drawn on the inside of the sweater?'

'No, I haven't.'

He walked over to the bag and grabbed the sweater. Then he walked over to me and showed me the drawing on the inside.

'A dick. Really?' I looked at him.

'We were drunk okay!'

'Yeah, we were also drunk when we fuck-'

'Don't say it Jamie,' Corbyn said on a frustrated tone.

'Sorry. Who drew it?' I asked him.

'Daniel,' he answered.

'How long have you known this?'

'Since a couple of days.'

An awkward silence filled the room.

It was quiet.

I looked at Jamie. This is in all ways fucked up.

'Could you leave please?' she asked without looking at me.

'Jamie, I know this is weird but we can work this out.'

'I just need some time,' she said, still not looking at me.

I couldn't tell if she was sad or angry.
I think both to be honest.

'If you hadn't left, this would've never happened. If you hadn't left, we would maybe be together. IF YOU HADN'T LEFT, I WOULD'NT HAVE FELT LIKE I WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH!'

Jamie bursted out in tears.

Shit, I didn't know she felt that way...

I pulled her in a hug and gladly, she accepted it.

'You are good enough Jamie,'

Now I know why I always thought she looked familiar...

She pulled away and wiped away her tears.

'I'll leave now,' I said eventually.

'Thank you,' Jamie said sobbing.

I hate to see her this way. Maybe I shouldn't have told her this....

I left Jamie's room and walked downstairs. I got in the car and drove home.

As I parked my car in front of the house, I felt a tear running down my cheek.

'GOD DAMNIT!' I screamed angry, while hitting the wheel.

I sat there for, I think, half an hour, or at least it felt like it. I wasn't expecting that this would bother me so much.

I eventually got out of the car and entered the house.

'Hey bro, how did it go?' Jack asked as soon as I closed the door behind me.

As I looked at Jack, his expression changed.

He walked towards me and gave me a hug without saying a word.

That's when I bursted out in tears.

Jonah, Zach and Daniel also joined the hug.

'Thank you guys. I'm gonna go upstairs,' I said when we let go.

I looked at Corbyn as he walked upstairs with a sad face.

I feel really bad for him, even though I don't know what happened. I think it was pretty serious.

My mind immediately thought of Jamie. She must feel terrible too. I decided to text her.

Jamie // Message

Jonah
Hey Jamie, are you okay?

Jamie
I've been crying for 2 hours straight but besides that, I'm great!

Jonah
Do you want me to come over?

This is my chance.

Jamie
I would really appreciate that. I hate being alone.

Jonah
Alright, see you in a bit!

Jamie
Thanks Jonah, that's really sweet.
