2 months later
Toni pov
I walked into the prison. It was long over due for me to come here. The guards searched me before letting me into the room. I walked in seeing him just as handsome as when i left him. They took off his cuffs and left out of the room.
"Well dont just stand there girl. Come here." He said and i went into his arms.
"Clarence your crazy why did you do this for me." I said and he shrugged.
"I already had life in prison what's another sentence." He said.
"I know but i-." He stopped me.
"When you left me i went and got help. When you told me you were leaving me i wanted to hurt you so badly and tell you that i could change, and that's when i figured out i had a problem. I was doing good for about 4 months until i had a relapse. My daughter died because her momma let some nigga beat her to death." He said holding in his tears and i grabbed his hands.
"So i killed him and her. Your the only person left that i love and i still do and i wanna see you happy so what's another charge." He said and i wiped my eyes.
"I love you too and im sorry about your daughter and how things happened between us." I said and he handed me my promise ring i had gave back to him.
"Keep it. It will make me happy knowing that you have it." He said and i put it on.
"Thank you." I said and the officer's told me i had about 5 minutes left so we hugged.
"He might be an ass. He might not listen or show you attention at times, but love him. Love him with all your heart and i promise he's gonna adore you." He said into my ear.
I kissed his cheek before leaving. I got into my car before going home.
The kids were watching tv and i went into my bedroom seeing kenny in bed playing the game. I ran to him hugging him tightly.
"Damn hey baby." He said wrapping his arms around me.
"Im sorry i just love you so much." I said.
"I love you too how did it go."
"It went okay."
"Come on lets go cheer you up with a little family time." He said and picked me up carrying me downstairs.
"Your momma is a little sad so let's make her feel better." He said and they all hugged me making me smile.
" so what are we watching."
" Ant-Man and the Wasp." Denim said handing me some popcorn.
I ended up watching half before falling asleep.
2 hours later
I woke up in bed. Nobody was here so i called kenny.
"Baby where did you go." I asked tiredly.
"I dropped the kids off to my moms. I want you to go get dressed. I wanna take you out tonight." He said making me smile.
