“Come on sweety, say ‘daddy’,” Niall said to Alisha. She’s 7 month old and it won’t be long know until she’s going to say her first word. Both Alex and Jenna’s first words was ‘mummy’ and Niall he was very jealous. Alisha keep saying non-existent words that almost sounded like ‘mummy’. “No, dad-dy. Say dad-dy, daddy!” He said and pointed at himself. “Niall, leave her alone. She’ll talk when she feels like it. Beside, you should go to the meeting now our you’ll be late,” you said. Niall tore himself mentally away from his daughter, sighting that her first word might not be ‘daddy’ and scared she’ll begin to talk while he’s away. “I’ll call you if she starts to talk Ni, now go!” You said, kissing him goodbye. Later that day when Niall got home, Alisha crawled towards him as he was taking off his clothes. “Look who we got here, hello princess!” He said and picked her up. Alex showed up from the kitchen. “Hi daddy!” he said and hugged his father. “Mummy just finished dinner, so come on now or it’ll get cold!” the 7 year old said, who loved food just as much as his father did. Just when he entered the kitchen, someone said “Daddy”. As you looked up on Niall, you saw him staring big eyes on Alisha. He started smiling big and spun her around and cheered. “She said ‘daddy’!! Her first word is ‘daddy’!!!” He keep saying over and over again. The kids laughed at their goofy father, but you just smiled and felt your heart melt. Both because Alisha said her first word and that it were ‘daddy’. Just like your husband wanted her first words to be.
