Throughout the movie Jasper and I stayed huddled together.
When the final scene came along where the two characters finally kiss I felt Jasper tighten his grip on me, bringing me closer than I thought possible.
"Someone found their favorite scene," I teased, taking his attention from the screen.
"Sorry," he said, clearing his throat and loosening his grip on me.
"If I didn't know better, I would say I'm sensing a bit of jealousy coming from you."
"Well then it's a good thing you know better," he commented, untangling our bodies so that he could get up.
"So what'd you think?" I asked, following him into the kitchen.
"It was a cheesy movie, but it wasn't bad," he shrugged.
"The Christmas movies are always cheesy, but they're fun to film."
"You're a good actress," Jasper commented. "You make it seem so... natural."
"Thank you!" I grinned. "That's the hardest part, moving away from just reading lines."
"I still don't get why you have to actually kiss your co-workers."
"Oh common Jasper! It's not like a kiss is that big of a deal anyway," I joked.
"Still," he mumbled.
"Well I vote we change the subject, it's only just starting to get dark, so I say we try something crazy and go to a night club!" I suggested.
"Eh I don't think so," Jasper said with a shake of his head.
"Please! I haven't been out in forever and it's good to let loose every once in a while."
"Clubs aren't really my scene," he argued.
"I'll teach you how to make it your scene," I teased with a wink.
"Fine," he sighed, rolling his eyes. "We can go for a couple hours."
"Yay!" I exclaimed jumping up from my seat and running up to my room where I immediately began sorting through my closet.
I ended up settling on a pair of black jeans that hugged my hips just right and a matching top that had a deep V and allowed me to show off some of my mid drift.
After I was dressed I quickly put on some simple makeup and ran my fingers through my hair to try and tame it a bit before grabbing a pair of nude red bottoms and making my way downstairs.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs I immediately noticed Jasper, who was wearing a pair of dark jeans with a leather jacket over a black shirt.
"Wow," he whispered, letting his eyes trail up and down my body.
"You don't look too bad yourself," I smirked quickly slipping my heels on before following Jasper to the garage.
"Oh my gosh look at that Porsche!" I squealed, running over to Jasper's navy blue convertible Porsche.
"Is that the one you want to take?" He asked, an amused expression on his face.
"Well duh!" I laughed, slipping into the passengers seat.
He soon followed suit and smoothly started the car before making his way out of the garage and towards the city.
I led him the the club where I used to party with my friends back in the dark ages when I had an assortment of fake IDs, and pretty soon I found myself perched on a bar stool working on my fourth martini and observing the people around me.
"I never understood why people find it so fun to be in a room filled with sweaty drunk people grinding on each other," Jasper commented besides me with a somewhat displeased look on his face.
"People come here to let loose," I responded. "They chose to come here and have fun because there's so many people no one is really paying that much attention to you enough to get upset over what your doing and you can pretty much dance with whoever you want without worry, and the fact that you quite possibly won't remember what you did here is also a bonus."
"I guess I'm just not a 'let loose' kind of person," he shrugged.
"Well," I started, knocking back the rest of my drink. "I can help you with that."
Without even waiting see what his response would be I immediately hopped of my stool and grabbed his hands, effectively dragging him out to the middle of the dance floor before he even realized what I was doing.
"Clara, I haven't danced since my high school prom," Jasper complained.
"Bad dancing is all part of the experience!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hands before I started to jump up and down to the beat of the music.
"You're crazy!" He yelled over the speakers with what seemed to be a look of awe on his face.
"And you're bonkers for not dancing with me!" I yelled back.
His response was simply to roll his eyes and start bobbing his head to the beat of the music until he was full on dancing with me and spinning me around for another two songs.
"I'm gonna go sit down for a bit and grab another drink!" Jasper yelled over the music before letting go of my hands and leaving me alone in the sea of people.
I watched him walk away for a few seconds and once again started swaying to the beat of the music, and soon enough I felt another pair of hands on my hips.
In my more than tipsy state I went along with it and continued to dance with strangers for a few more songs until one stranger decided to get a little too handsy.
"Oi! Keep your hands off the girls!" I demanded when some random blonde groped my boobs.
"Oh common, let a guy have a little fun," he smirked before latching his hands on my waist tightly and pulling me in for a way too aggressive kiss that tasted like beer and whiskey.
Before I got the chance to shove him off me he was suddenly being ripped away and I soon heard the defining crack of someone's nose breaking.
"The lady said to keep your hands off her," Jasper growled hovering above the man whose shirt collar was now tightly grasped in Jasper's bloody hand.
"The slut was asking for it with the way she was dressed," the man replied, setting off an even brighter flame in Jasper's eyes.
"Jasper don't!" I demanded grabbing his arm before he could throw another punch.
Seeing the fear in my eyes at seeing him so violent must have snapped him back into reality because he immediately let go of the man, causing him to drop hard onto the floor below him.
"Just because a girl is wearing something she feels confident in and looks good in does not mean she is asking for it," Jasper said to the man with anger seeping into his words before grabbing my arm and dragging me out of the club.
