Two weeks passed and Christmas preparations were in full swing.

Of course in Jasper's world, it's not Christmas season until he attends a Christmas themed gala for work.

"I've never understood the point of Christmas themed galas," I commented as Jasper and I walked around a dress shop, because once again I had forgotten we were attending a gala and needed to get a last minute dress.

"People tend to be more generous during the holiday season, thus you can get better deals out of them," he shrugged, continuing to type away at his phone.

"God you're such a boring person to shop with," I scoffed, turning back to the dresses.

I continued to shift through the dresses, not really paying attention to the dresses until one of them caught my eye.

I immediately pulled it off the rack and rushed to the dressing room, leaving Jasper standing alone in the show room.

I couldn't help but let a grin spread over my face as I admired the way the red sequined floor length body-con dress hugged my body in all the right places and how the single strap highlighted my opposite bare collar bone and how the long slit brought attention to my leg.

"How long does it take to try on one dress?" I heard Jasper comment from the other side of the dressing room door.

I let out a light laugh before promptly putting my regular clothes back on and making my way to the cash register. However, before I got there something else caught my eye, causing a lightbulb to go off in my head.

"Jasper would you mind waiting at the car? It's really cold in here and I would love if the car was warmed up," I asked putting on my best sweet face.

''Fine," he agreed. "But only because you're gonna be cold at the gala tonight."

"Am not!" I pouted.

"Clara, you're going to be wearing a dress with no sleeves in winter.'

"Whatever," I scoffed. " Just go warm up the car."

As soon as he was out of eye sight I immediately went over to the tie table and grabbed the one that had red sequins to match my dress, the only difference was that the tie also had green sequins that were in the shape of a Christmas tree. It was the perfect way to trick him into matching with me.

"What's up with the extra box?" Jasper asked when I returned to the car.

"Well you can't buy a dress without getting jewelry to match," I lied.

"Of course you can't," Jasper sighed before pulling out of the parking lot so we could get home with enough time for me to get ready for the gala.

As soon as we walked in the door I was greeted by my makeup and hair crew pulling me upstairs to my bedroom where they got straight to work making me look my best for the evening.

During this time Lydia decided to surprise me with a FaceTime call, demanding to know everything that transpired since Jasper kissed me.

"Wait so you're telling me that you guys went from not talking at all to sleeping together nearly every night?" Lydia questioned.

"Lydia!" I exclaimed, my eyes bugging out of my head at her choice of words. "We did not sleep together! We're merely sharing a bed is all."

"You cannot honestly tell me that you haven't thought about just rolling over and going to town on him every night," she stated.

"Well, not every night," I admitted with a sly grin.

"See I knew it!" She grinned. "I knew you liked him from the start!"
