I made it to Crowley Industries faster than I thought possible.
I didn't bother talking to the receptionist and stormed right over to the elevator and straight to his office.
"Have you seen this?" I demanded, ignoring his shocked expression and holding my phone out to him.
"Wow, someone's particularly feisty today," he teased before taking my phone.
As he read the article I saw his face turn from confusion to one of anger.
"What the hell is this?" he asked me as if I was the one who wrote the article.
"That is gossip, fueled by the pictures people took of us when we were out yesterday," I explained.
"Well obviously," he growled. "but we aren't dating."
"Well they don't know that," I pointed out.
"Then we need to tell them," he said.
"What are you gonna do, hold a press conference?" I scoffed.
"That's exactly what I'm going to do."
"There's a much easier way," I told him. "It's called tweeting."
I immediately pulled out my phone and began typing out my post claiming that we were not dating when the phone was suddenly ripped from my hands by Mrs. Whitlock.
"Now now sweetie, before we do anything rash we should look at the benefits of this," she scolded.
"What are you talking about?" Jasper sighed, running his hands over his face.
"Well for one thing your company has been gaining more attention already in the mist of all these dating rumors, and that means we could very well have more customers," she explained.
"Well I guess that's not too bad," he shrugged, pacing across the room.
"So what, you want us to just pretend to date or something?" I asked.
"Well, you don't have to announce anything," Mrs. Whitlock said. "I'm just saying don't deny it, and it wouldn't hurt to be seen by the press."
"I need to sit down," I announced, beginning to feel a little light headed.
I sat myself down in Jasper's office chair, earning a hard glare from the man himself but I didn't have the strength to get up, his chair was surprisingly comfortable and I wanted to curl up and fall asleep right there. Unfortunately Jasper had other ideas.
I let out a small squeal when I felt a pair of strong arms lift me out of the seat and quickly move me over to the couch in one swift motion.
"Hey! I was sitting there!" I huffed as I watched Jasper settle himself back into his chair with an annoying smirk plastered on his face.
"I think we should go with Nancy's idea," he stated plainly, changing the subject.
"B-but," I stuttered.
"But what?" he asked giving me a look.
"I've never had a boyfriend, and I don't want my first to be a business ploy," I admitted.
I couldn't help but freeze from shock when he strode over to I was sitting, putting his arms against the couch on either side of me and leaning so close to my face it made my head spin.
"Don't get all sappy on me now," he said. "You've pretended to date countless guys on screen I assume, so how is this any different? Especially since we don't have to confirm anything."
