The next morning I woke up only to come face to face with a computer screen and the sound of rapid typing.
"Good morning," I yawned out, turning my head so I could see Jasper who was now looking down at me.
"I think that was the longest you've ever slept with me around," he stated proudly, brushing hair out of my face. "It's nearly lunch time."
"You know you could've woken me up right?"
"It's alright," he shrugged. "I get more work done without your constant talking anyway."
"Whatever," I scoffed, rolling out of bed and taking his laptop from him.
"Hey! I was using that!" He protested.
"Well looks like you're gonna have to catch me if you want it back," I grinned playfully before taking off and running out of the room.
"Clara!" I heard Jasper groan loudly before the sound of his footsteps following me reached me ears.
I made it all the way to the top of the stairs before Jasper's strong arms wrap around me and pick me up off the ground.
"Caught you," he whispered in my ear, causing shivers to go down my spine.
"Well then it looks like you can carry me down to get some food!" I smiled as I carefully turned myself around in his grasp so I could wrap my legs around him.
"Not gonna happen," he said, letting go of my waist expecting me to bring my feet to the floor, but instead I wrapped my legs around him tighter so that my head fell back and I ended up hanging upside down from his waist.
Jasper rolled his eyes and took the laptop out of my hands to place it safely on the couch next to him. All while I started giggling at the ridiculousness of the position I was in.
"Common princess, you can't hang there forever," Jasper chuckled lightly, revealing the fact that he too was amused by the situation.
I immediately stopped laughing and used my core muscles to bring myself back up so I was face to face with Jasper.
"That's the first time you've called me princess when I wasn't drunk," I stated, staring him dead in the eyes.
"Oh, uh you remember that?" He asked nervously, a blush creeping onto his cheeks.
"Of course I do," I answered like he just asked me the dumbest question in the world. "I like it when you call me princess."
"Well then maybe I should call you that more when you're not drunk," he said with a lopsided grin.
"Maybe you should," I winked before dropping out of his grasp and beginning to make my way down the stairs.
I didn't even bother to see if Jasper was following me as I made my way down to the kitchen and still didn't bother to see if he had followed me until I had finished making myself a sandwich and I saw him sitting on the other side of the island.
"What nothing for me?" He questioned as I took a bite.
"You can make your own bloody sandwich," I replied giving him a smug smile as I continued to eat.
Suddenly he stoop up and made his way other to my side of the island. Never taking his eyes off of me as he brought himself closer to me and trapped me against the island.
"W-what are you doing?" I nearly whispered, unintentionally gluing my eyes to his lips.
He didn't say a word as he slowly leaned closer, causing me to close my eyes in apprehension.
Suddenly I was robbed of the warmth of his body heat and I shot my eyes back open to find him leaning against the counter opposite me with my sandwich in his hands.
"Oh you'll pay for that one Crowley," I glared.
"I'm sure I will," he smirked, trying to hold back his laughter.
I quickly made myself another sandwich and was just about to take a bite out of it when once again I was cruelly robed of my now long awaited meal.
"Alex you bloody bastard!" I exclaimed as I watched him eat my sandwich faster than I thought was humanly possibly.
"What? You make good sandwiches," he defended himself.
"I hate both of you," I stated, grabbing myself a pop tart before moving to the living room where I could eat in peace.
After finishing my mediocre lunch I decided to try and cure my boredom by making my way to Jasper's office where he was usually found on his days off.
Sure enough I opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Jasper typing away at his computer like always.
Instead of making a comment about him working too much like I usually do I simply made my way over to the couch and watched as he worked, admiring how laser focused he was when I wasn't bugging him.
"You're staring," he commented, eyes not leaving his computer.
"Only cause you're cute when you're focused," I flirted.
"And you're cute when you're quiet," he joked, flashing me a cocky smile.
"You're really not good at this flirting thing," I pointed out.
"That's because I'm not trying to flirt with you yet."
"No, I think you're just really bad at it," I teased.
In response to this Jasper got up and put his arms on either side of me, making this the second time today he pinned me against something.
"Trust me Clara," he started in a low tone. "You'll know when I'm flirting with you."
I smirked with him, happy to play along with the little game he was playing.
I leaned forward, making sure to brush my lips lightly across the corner of his as I made my way to his earlobe so I could whisper in his ear.
"Then let the best flirt win."
